Headcrab is partially right.
I do have to have a workers permit because of my age, and my GPA has to stay higher than a 3.0.
The business is a local one, recently started in my small community, owned by friends of my family, so they almost immediately accepted me once I applied.

How much does a workers permit cost in your state? Also if I was to look into starting my own group would that require some other type of permit as well? I have a 3.75 GPA so I think I'm ok with that xD

In Ohio workers permits are absolutely free, you get it signed by a few people, and boom, as long as your GPA stays high enough you're golden.

Keep in mind a workers permit doesn't guarantee a job, a lot of companies aren't really going to employ someone under the age of 16.

And what exact kind of group?
Feel free to PM me if you like

Thanks for the offer.

I'm turning 17 in February and probably won't consider actually doing anything until then. As far as a group is concerned, I just mean like my own little business. Unless you know of a way I could possibly join a somewhat large group that is already established. I know of like two or three computer stores in my town if that helps at all.

Got another PC job from work today, a customer wants a $3,500 gaming PC that'll last him awhile.

God this is going to be a fun build.

I do suggest waiting, and for your business depending on your state laws, etc, you may or may not have to actually have business type licenses depending on your annual profit, etc

Your best bet would be to work for a more localized company to gather some experience in the field itself, then if you do so happen to make a career of it, you could choose yourself at that time creating a business or joining a larger one.

That 2600 does not belong in that build at all :/

You don't even have a case for gods sake.

Or any sort of storage for that matter.

:)

To be absolutely honest, I really wish my job was that easy.
We get certain deals and bulk deals with certain companies, so I only have a list of parts and part inventory that I can pick from, unless I want to risk it and do it somewhere else, putting my commission on the line.

In other words, saying I order a Radeon 7790 (I won't), I'd have to get it from Asus, who we have a bulk deal thing with, and order around 20 of them, but I have to be able to sell these 20 Radeons otherwise at the end of 3 months I get all the remaining deducted from my payroll.

Or I could spend more on the parts and get them individually and just take a smaller commission already.

Testing these machines is the best part of my job :)

Nonono wait for the 790
