I hate the gun mods, the good thing about them is that we aren't forced to use them. Then again a musket/blunder buss would be cool.

You're not alone;
I hate the Enderman, too easy to aggravate and too destructive.
I hate the swamps, vines are alright but biome seems useless.
I'm alright with strongholds, but I dislike the villages and will hate them even more when the TESTIFICATE people arrive in 1.9.
I hate sprinting, the aspect is cool but double-tapping W is annoying and buggy.
I hate hunger, it makes Survival too difficult and Creative too easy.
I already hate the potions, idea is too complicated for Minecraft's simple environment.

MY IDEA:
Notch adds new portal that sends you to some fantasy land, with mystical swamps, potions and dragons.

I like to build a box and then cover it with dirt and trees to make it look like a hill. Then I make holes in it to shoot arrow, or a musket out of it at pigs, sheep, cows, or anything that wants to kill me. It should be 2 blocks high on the inside so endermen cant tele in. Next need to setup a fence perimeter around your mound house. The next step is gather water and seeds and fill in the open areas within your compound. Then when night comes you defend your property, or sleep through the night. If you want to mine, just remove a piece of the floor in the corner and dig down and add ladder as you go down, make sure to put a hatch over the the ladder entrance. Now you have a fortified house/mine/farm.

I hate the swamps, vines are alright but biome seems useless. Tell me a useful biome beside forest.
I'm alright with strongholds, but I dislike the villages and will hate them even more when the TESTIFICATE people arrive in 1.9. Agree

I already hate the potions, idea is too complicated for Minecraft's simple environment. Then don't use them?

Notch adds new portal that sends you to some fantasy land, with mystical swamps, potions and dragons. That would just be stupid in my opinion.

Shut up, it's nostalgic. Like the old days where you would have a million freaking fire starters because that's what every mob dropped.
Never mind I haven't none any brain.

Endermen are easy as forget to keep away. If you see one, get uphill and pour water down on it. DERP.
Swamps are an easy way to get wood, and if you really hate it that much just get three wood to make a workbench + boat, then find your way down the river. How could anyone hate villages? They randomly spawn, and don't inconvenience you in anyway. In fact, they are good if you are wandering and need a place for the night. Testificates are ugly, but the skin can be modified, or you can kill their face.
I would have to agree with sprinting. It was a habit of mine to tap w repeatedly while digging a 1 deep hole for any reason.
Hunger shouldn't be a problem unless you spawn in an endless desert. Otherwise pigs will spawn near anywhere, not to mention chicken and cows now give meat. Potions are actually pretty simple. There are 14 recipes. 7 use different ingridients and water potions. Then you can use a potion you get from that for the other set. For example, if you cook a nether wart with a water bottle, then use blaze powder, you will get a Potion of Strength. It's not really complicated at all.

mystical swamps? what's the difference between normal swamps, which you hate? Potions are already in, dragons are in ender.

Just because you said that doesn't mean he'll like 1.8 anymore than he does right now.

TESTIFICATE, potions, Enderman, and whatnot don't appeal to Minecraft's taste as it was back in 1.6, or Alpha, etc. I talked about it a little with friends and such. Villages aren't terrible but I have been finding every single one of them to look ugly wherever they're placed. Swamps I didn't like because the water in 1.9 is all gray, and I used to think the flat land clashed with Minecraft's usually rocky terrain.

I suppose I'm all worked up about it because I'm so into Minecraft that having it change is punching me in the face. :c  The "mystical world" idea was more a thought that the mushroom cows, Enderman, and TESTIFICATE people could be found in a different area. Then my friends reminded me about how Minecraft has skeletons that shoot bows, giant spiders, the living dead, and creepers.
