The weapons seem to get better as you scroll down.
Yeah yeah

Ive been working on the pack so long that my skill level increased with every model, so the old ones dont look as good. It's almost entirely unavoidable with how much work I put into my stuff; I'll try to get around to updating the older guns. It's just hard because when I edit my models, I do it in SketchUp, and Ill have to re-scale and re-parent everything in Blender.

It just gets really annoying lol.

Well, as long as they don't look totally different and and have the same features it's OK.

I wouldnt remake it. I'd just add more details to make them look better alongside the others.

WIP of a possible Heavy Assault Rifle for the pack. Dunno if I like how this ones going. I'll see how it turns out.

Hm, well, a few suggestions:
1. Make the clip longer.(Banana maybe?)
2. Make it so the shell door thing isn't around the whole gun.
3. The buttstock looks strange.
4. The handle is small.

Poly rape on the sniper barrel.

Poly rape on the sniper barrel.
Deal with it. I'm not changing the barrel.

Lol Takato, I've read your sig plenty of times and it suddenly slipped my mind when I tried to PM you. I re-sent the PM over RTB, mind looking at it real quick?

Just get on Steam, it's easier :p

The "You need less polygons" remark was based off the fact that Extrude and I are (or at least were) friends, and he used to model just as high-poly as I do.
He isn't the only one saying it.

There are no Goddamn problems, if I changed everything based off of other peoples opinions these would never get finished.
You don't have to change things based on everyone's opinions. But when a good number of people complain about the same thing, there might be an issue.

1: Third-party content does NOT have to fit in with the game. If that were the case there would be no originality and Blockland would be extremely boring.
Right because having a fully detailed (and 3-d) Skyrim character running around in the classic Jetsons cartoon is certainly appealing and shouldn't have to fit in at all. I don't see where you're pulling 'originality' from. You can create original things that fit in the game. Plenty of other modellers do it.

2: Get a modern graphics card, mine costs $80 and I get constantly full FPS. Mine is also a laptop card and the equivalent card for a desktop would be half the price if not less.
It's not just me. Whenever I see one of your weapons on a server, I'll make a relay loop to spawn a few and like 90+% of the users will begin to complain about lag. (I delete it shortly afterwards. Not trolling. 5 seconds of lag never hurt anyone in a freebuild.) Meanwhile my computer can handle builds that are over 100k bricks just fine.
Ive always modeled like this and I do not intend to stop anytime soon.
You're a stubborn kid.

Listen, Chrono. Thou art wasting your time. I model high-poly because, in my opinion, it looks good. I mod for myself, not for others. I want to be a developer in the future, and with computer hardware advancing like it is, I will easily be able to have a 3500 polygon weapon. And it will be demanded of me that said weapon be extemely high detail level. If Torque supported it, every last one of these guns would have custom shaders, textures(I say textures arent supported because the DTS exporter forgets up the U/V Coordinates), and normal maps. But, this engine is outdated, so this is all the practice I can really get out of it. And since Blockland has such a low LOD to begin with, most people can easily afford to have a 3-4000 polygon weapon.

What you do is use the abusive freedom of blockland to spam the ever-living stuff out of the item model. The lag is the result of your own assaninity and has nothing to do me. There wont be 80 loving weapons spawned at once on any server. The purpose of this pack is not for spamming the forget out of a server, its for Deathmatches. I guarentee that a 20-player server in which each player was using one of these guns within the clear view of everyone else wouldn't be getting polygon lag. The loving PlayStation Portable can handle 550,000 polygons at 60 (full) FPS. The most polygons that could come from these guns, on a 32-player server, with each player holding the most high-poly gun of all (the Uber-RocketGun), is 160,000. If your computer can't handle that then you have a serious problem.

Correction.
About 20-30.
There are servers with more than 20-30 players at once. Them holding the weapons would be the same effect as spawning them.

Oh and the reason the PSP can handle 550k polies is because the resolution is low and even with the number of polygons, the software cuts down on detail in order to make the thing run better.
Don't compare something that's been optimized and cut down to an extremely resource-unfriendly engine that will look exactly as you model it.
It's also not just my computer. A majority of the players complained. Not just in the server I tested it in, but on some of your topics.

There are many other games you can make high poly models for. Being a good modeller also means you can model for many different styles. You seem to only be good at one.

Has anyone else noticed some of these look a lot like nerf guns?

I'm kind of agreeing with both. If you're going to use these for DMs you won't want to spawn these. Use events to
add them to your inventory. And it has some things to do with the host and the build. If it's on a slate with 5000+ bricks and lots of people using these weapons it might lag.

But with a terrain map and a few bases it should be fine.
Unless the host has a super crappy computer and the builds are spammy, then it'll lag. And that's not the weapons' fault.
