What does everyone use to watch anime? I installed Kawaii Codec Pack so I'm trying that out, but I wanted to see what you guys use.

VLC player for when I'm at my computer. PS3+Tversity and Crunchyroll for when I'm not.

used to use my wii before it got stoled, now i just gotta use my pooter o3o

why do you all use VLC? it's so stuff.

Alright ;-; I dont know how laws work or rules

it's a bit of a grey area...half of it will never get a region 1 release so there's no other way for people to watch other than fansubs/torrents

Someone should recommend me a good anime, here is my list http://myanimelist.net/animelist/blackmod if i bothered to finish it then i liked it.
I enjoy deep story lines with a good amount of action and character interaction, I also enjoy a good female support or main protagonist.

Took one look at your list.

Bacanno. One of my favorites.

Yeah, i was thinking about watching it. Anything else?

Seconded for Baccano!, Durarara!! is pretty good too.

Cowboy Bebop. I'm not going to stop saying this until someone who hasn't watched it watches it. If anyone uses the "I only like recent anime" excuse, I will drop my pants and stuff on them.

You can try watching Gundam Unicorn. It doesn't absolutely require knowledge of prior Gundam series since they do explain most of it. If you want to understand the entire thing from beginning to end, it needs that knowledge. It's still airing, the last episode comes out next year.

also cromartie high is lulz

have you watched paniponi?

cuz if you have, I need the same suggestions anyone is giving to you.

I saw you've seen No.6, so I'd suggest Nabari No Ou. It's much less gay and overall pretty good. I've been watching Shinsekai Yori lately, and am really loving it.

i have not, thanks for your suggestion

tell me more, and no moestuff! unless it's actually good

I have already watched Durararara!!, it is on my list, and I loved it. Though Cowboy bebop doesnt look like it would interest me, give me a quick synopsis. Though genera wise, I usually prefer modern animes that take use of technology or magic. I also enjoy a strong female role as support or lead over a solo protagonist character. I also love good music(for example guilty crown) and good visuals. :)

Then there's absolutely no reason for you to skip over Cowboy Bebop. It aired in 1999, and still has better animation than half of the stuff that comes out today. It's a space western, so the technology part is there. The main character is badass and the female lead is pretty awesome too. Also, the tone of the series varies from comedic to dramatic during different episodes.

The music is by Yoko Kanno, so it is loving BOSS.

Opening theme
Green Bird, arguably the most famous track from the entire series

The 90's had some pretty nice animes, including NGE.
