Yeah, some of it is explained in the manga, but no one really knows the answer yet xD

The motive of the Colossal and Armored titans isn't going to be fully revealed for another two years or something, but it's been slowly put into perspective. I've written it below if you really want to know but it's seriously spoiler territory. Don't highlight this unless you want to be spoiled.

[Absolutely massive spoilers]Bert and Reiner attacked the first wall to draw out the coordinate, but since no coordinate responded they grew curious and decided to masquerade as humans inside the walls. They eventually grew more and more frantic because they were neck deep in hostile territory so they attacked the second wall hoping to draw out the coordinate finally. They didn't smash the interior wall because Eren shifted, causing them to believe that he was the coordinate. They decided to kidnap him, but since they were both in the Recon Corps they would be unable to act during a mission, so Annie was tasked to kidnap Eren. She tries and fails, and is eventually defeated. There's a lot more to it but that's pretty much as far as is known.[/Absolutely massive spoilers]

So i have a all the spoilers from the manga

after they find a titan in the wall, there was reports of a wall break and titans coming into the wall, again. everyone went and there were titans in the wall, but no wall breach. bald dude found his home village destroyed, and a titan with limbs so small that the titan wouldnt even be able to make it there from the wall. giant ape like titan steals a 3d manuever gear before letting the owner die, and while on top of the wall, reiner and burt tell eren that they are the armored and collosal titan, and that they have to leave. eren doesnt believe them, and bert titan shifts, and then fight. things happen, eren finds out he can manipulate titans to change course by screaming, jean blames eren for all of his original squads death because he screamed at them (thus making all the titans go after THEM) and then they find out that the titans are actually humans
