Author Topic: Should I play Half Life 2 if I haven't played the first one.  (Read 4838 times)

I also like how HL1 and HL2 are 20 years apart.

AND YOU DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED IN THOSE 20 YEARS
>Gordan Freement goes into spasis
>Horribly equipped aliens make earth stuff pants and surrender
>Disorganized rebels think they can make an interdimensional empire leave
>WAKE UP AND SMELL THE ASSES

MW3 is as linear as it gets and even though Half-Life is pretty linear I am having fun with it and there are times where you have to go back and forth constantly.
mw3 singleplayer loving sucks, so your point is kinda moot
You're handicapped
that function barely even works :V
i like how you just insult me and don't refute anything i said in that post

I think Valve should do something like what they did with Half Life by making Opposing Force and Blue Shift and that one with the co-op mode, but with Half Life 2, they could branch out into one of the citizens in a storyline that tells what happened in Gordon's absence

I'd actually like to play that

Blue shift, opp force and decay are made by gearbox

Oh...

Well Valve should still go along with that idea

Now I'm at the part where I killed the giant blue armored alien and now I am riding an electric cart killing waves of marines and aliens.

That part took me forever to complete, i just try to explore every area possible so that i can have all the weapons, ammo and health that i can get

Hate to be playing devil's advocate here, but am I the only one that does not care for the HL series and would not be at all affected by an announcement that Valve was axing the sequel?

im not a giant fan of hl but its okay

Now I'm at this part and I found a very steep hill you were not suppose to climb but for some reason I could climb it to the top.

RUN TONY! RUN FROM BLACK MESA!! YOU'RE BETTER OFF AT APERTURE SCIENCE!

I don't remember the pistol being that green. Is it just the lighting?

It's the lighting.

Does anyone know how to kill those stealthy females? They have silenced pistols and can turn invisible.

just follow them around and try to get them with the smg's nades if you can
that'll make quick work

Tony just wait for them to get near and put buckshot in there ass
