Author Topic: What is your opinion? Did you find Half-Life 2 too easy or too slow?  (Read 7710 times)

Well, I haven't finished HL2 because I'm a pusillanimous individual and I have a phobia of the entrance to Ravenholm. I definitely noticed the multitude of explosive barrels and blatancy of puzzles.

I would comment on HL1 but something about the graphics and sound effects creeps the forget out of me so I haven't finished that either.

I felt the same ambience too, they did a good job with the game. However I beat it years before.

lord tony is just being way way too elitist gamer right here

basically saying hl2 should be more like modern warfare

I'm saying it should be more like Half-Life 1. Where did you get modern warfare from?

6/10 might catch a few guppies

Stop rating me, it's getting annoying.

I don't know why these aren't bannable. You can't even rate a person's build in gallery unless they give permission

good point but this isn't gallery

If you're just going to launch a dozen topics in which all about the Half-Life saga games being different from one another, then don't play the game.

I only planned on playing Half-Life and Half-Life 2.

The one thing I can admire in Half-Life 2 is the real feel of a rebellion later in the game.

Oh and Ravenholm.  loving Ravenholm.

I'm a pusillanimous individual and I have a phobia of the entrance to Ravenholm.
Ravenholm is the most unscariest, easiest piece of stuff ive ever seen. i cant believe you think its scary even a little bit. I played the loving level when i was 10, and it was not scary at all.

Do i really have to film a speedrun of ravenholm to prove you knuckleheads that it isn't even creepy?

Both, besides ravenholm.

older fps's are all harder then modern ones. updated physics and ai behavior actually makes the shooting mechanics easier.

old games are very arcade like, hiding around corners and behind objects actually is a must.
new ones have ai handycap where they can miss you. its more realistic, but easier.

ep1 was meant to be played almost entirely without guns. but was later changed.
i would have much loved that

I noticed how bad the AI handicap was last night. So this was during the airboat stuff, I was on a peer and I was alone. A combine came up behind me with an SMG, he opened fire and missed every shot at point blank range. Then he paused for a few seconds, I turned around and instant killed him with the revolver.

They must train at the same place the thugs in the Indiana Jones movies go to.

Well you figure a mighty force that could take over the world in 7 hours wouldn't be able to miss a shot.
