Does anyone else here have ADHD? I recently found out I have it, and it pisses me off. I mean, I have Ritalin and all that, but when I am at school, I just can't find the energy to pay attention. Anyone else have this problem? How the hell do you deal with this when no medication is immediately available?

My brother has it. Taking Ritalin, a drug, will make you deathly quiet and lifeless. :c

I do.
Its worse when you are younger but it will stay with you. Might I add I know people around my age that are complete loving idiots and run around acting as if they were nine. There is no excuse for that, as its not that hard to control your urges to be stupid.

Made me suicidal and tired. So my mom took me off of it, not always a good idea to use those drugs.

when you blame your inability to pay attention all on ADHD it makes you not even want to try to pay attention in the first place

ritalin's worse than the imaginary thing they prescribe it for

I can't pay attention unless it's something I want to do, otherwise I have a lot of energy.

Oh boy.

I find it hard to partisipate in school because I have this too.
I'm a pretty calm person, I just can't seem to pay attention. I used to take a drug for that but then I became
deathly quiet and lifeless.
and then lost extreme amounts of weight verging on anorexic. I had to get off of it and then I gained a lot of weight. I'm sort of chubby now. Obviously I've gained weight from then. Kinda sucks.

If you mean you are having trouble concentrating, it is a matter of the mind. It is no easy task, but you'd be amazed at what you can accomplish if you work at it. You have the ability to pay attention, it is simply more difficult for you. If you mean, however, physical tiredness, it is probably from the medication regimen. Ritalin may be approved to be safe, but it can do rather chaotic things to one's mind, unfortunately. :u

Well that is a given for most people. You just have to work at it. It comes easier with time, want, and practice.

I've been diagnosed with ADHD and Depression but since I don't have health insurance due to the state having dropped me because we don't have a "low enough income" I can't afford any medication.

ADHD is so over diagnosed it is not even funny.

depression shouldn't even be considered a medical condition

Truth is spoken. :o

depression shouldn't even be considered a medical condition
Why...?

ADHD is so over diagnosed it is not even funny.
Yes, really.

It's such bullstuff.  Most people don't have it and just blame it as not putting effort into their work.
