He didn't actually use an insult in that reply.

He called the the Pascal's idea crap without even stating the reasons w-

No, Pascal's Wager is the worst argument for god I have ever heard, it doesn't use science. It just goes well what if you're wrong what then? It doesn't use any science or anything to help prove a point. It pretty much uses the bible to say that the christian god is the right god and that's it

It uses logic lol

Get your Pascal's Wager bullstuff the forget out of here, right now.
Asablief's brown townogy has a good point to it.

IMO, Religous values are like a gamble.

Say you've got a religous guy and an athiest guy both playing poker
The religous guy says "Well I don't know whether I will win or not, but I might as well give it my best effort and hope I win" while the athiest guy stomps up angrily, throws down the dice and says "forget this i quit" It's a 50% to 0% ratio or whatever, the christian gives it an effort so if he wins, hooray, if he loses, he's forgeted, while the athiest gives up and so either way he's forgeted

This is why i'm religous, because as I see it there really isn't any actual reason not to be religous and I don't have anything to lose anyway

The Native Americans lost their land because they believed in a different faith. So what specific faith counts?

It uses logic lol

Not really, it doesn't give any reason why god is real. It just says what if? Science does a pretty good job of explaining everything and disproving the bible.

I haven't even asked what makes you think your god is the real god. Obviously someones wrong and science is the only one with actual undeniable evidence.

I swear I have heard this excuse a thousand times.

Science cannot prove or disprove religion or their doctrines, it has no empirical evidence to test, repeat, and observe.

It uses logic lol

"the interest I have to believe a thing is no proof that such a thing exists"

it has no empirical evidence to test, repeat, and observe.

That's a pretty good reason not to believe it.

Ok it disproves events in the bible, like the flood. It also proves that Earth is older than the bible. Also how people came to exist and all these other animals and stuff.

ogm obamma porbly hurt gods fealings!!!1!!1

Before science everything revolved around the Earth and anyone that said otherwise would be labeled as a heretic.

That's a pretty good reason not to believe it.
Again, there is no reason why I shouldn't believe it either, since I have nothing to lose anyway

You miss out on living an enjoyable life.

No proof, no belief.

Before copy-machines people copied the bible by hand. Anyone re-writing that bible could easily put in a false story in there.

I may be agnostic but I know damn well somethings from the bible seem completely illogical.

There are multiple translations you know.
Each can be interpreted in different ways.
