IMO, Religous values are like a gamble.
Say you've got a religous guy and an athiest guy both playing poker
The religous guy says "Well I don't know whether I will win or not, but I might as well give it my best effort and hope I win" while the athiest guy stomps up angrily, throws down the dice and says "forget this i quit" It's a 50% to 0% ratio or whatever, the christian gives it an effort so if he wins, hooray, if he loses, he's forgeted, while the athiest gives up and so either way he's forgeted
This is why i'm religous, because as I see it there really isn't any actual reason not to be religous and I don't have anything to lose anyway
