I guess you missed the part where I noted I was using fl demo. I'm not going to spend around $150 for a hobby I'm not sure I'll completely throw myself into while trying to save for a car. Short of pirating anything, what's the best free sound I can get? I don't need much, just good quality sounds and an intuitive piano roll

well FL Studio has one of the best built-in piano rolls I've ever seen. however, as far as free VSTs go, you'll have to do a bit of Googling for those. there are plenty out there, and I would just search 'em up for you but I'm at work on my iPod right now.

>mfw there's only one madeon song for osu!

OKAY SO IMPORTANT STUFF

Regarding this "Blockland EDM Mass-Collab" thing, if you want to participate in it, again, please add me on Skype. My Skype name is "kyzorix." If you've already added me, please post here and say whether or not you want to participate so that I can add you to the Skype group chat.

I want to get things started THIS WEEKEND. I will be starting up my livestream on either Saturday or Sunday, whichever is better for most people who want to participate. If you are participating, please tell me which day is better for you, and what time is good (if you don't live in the US, please give me your times in GMT).

In this livestream, essentially what will happen is that we will all collectively work on a track in a Skype call. Kingdaro has already made a little sample of something that we can build on (King could you post that, please?). We can figure out genre and BPM once we all get in a Skype call. If you do not have a microphone, please try to get one, but if you absolutely can't, that's okay, that just means you'll have to type what you want to say instead of talk, which is completely fine.

I want to be serious with this. I want to get stuff done. Sound good to everyone else?

Not good, and I wouldn't classify it as EDM but I'm playin with Fl Studio and had fun messing with the midi file. Rendering put pauses in the song :S

I would like to participate on this collaborative effort and anyday is fine for me. I have a mic but I'll probably mostly be listening and try to learn whatever I can from you guys.

Mixxx, it has support for a whole slew of devices including the Launchpad, which VDJ doesn't support. (i say this because i know you have one)

EDIT: i'll participate in this collab thing too, but i think i'll just master it, i don't want to overwhelm the whole thing ._.
