The games are probably very different, just because they're "silly" doesn't mean that they're the same game. It's really just a matter of people's personal preferences.

lol, when I'm playing Saints Row 2 the last thing I ever think is "oh man this is so much better than X first-person shooter."
Especially since the Saints Row games aren't first-person shooters. Gasp!
