wth who needs runner when we have scientist

Yes he is more useful but he does not fill the gap and for the record that old runner would be scrapped and who ever said we needed to get rid of scientist, hell scientist can be split to improve existing classes, what if constructor can build a shield and have a basic sentry, that means constructor has to take care of two things , that makes everything much more fun, and what if detonator is given satchel charges? That would add more variety for sure, give the deflector to infiltrator? And the strange zappy gun thing that I don't remember its name to constructor as well.

Runner can be fixed, it is possible, you need to eliminate double jumping and just add extra height to the default jump height, and replace the force-a-nature with something like the rifleman's smg, and his secondary weapon can be something else, but preferably a medium range melee.

I really hope this is sarcasm. Those 'showdowns' were the biggest waste of time I've ever been forced to deal with. If you actually liked that then I don't think you played the server nearly enough to see how annoying it was. Actually, I think that particular point applies to a lot of the stuff you're complaining about.

In other news, I've un-crashed the server.
Waste of time? I'm confused, I have been at the server back then and when that happened it never got as bad as how you say, must of been something really bad to make you remove samus.

By the way, sorry for being an inactive admin I have been very busy in life taking, my college is a bit far from home, and that means most of the time I'm on a stuffty laptop that can run stuff, I keep Blockland at home on my desktop, and It is not the same as back then when I was in high school and had tons of free time in the afternoons so I was very active back then.

also on a side note whats a good way to kill CBS as badspot, i would always just push them away or miss completely cuz they're so fast

Now the trick here is not to go after them, but make him come to you, or if you want to be cheap bounce your way to him using the shockwave and always shockwave him into a wall, never the air.


I am tired and since you asked, I won't write the great text of China, but I'll point out a few things.

I find the laser effective. Someone hiding up on the dresser? Now the normals can actually deal with a camping boss rather than having to get an admin to. I personally found getting hit by the golden wrench with crits for 9k per strike not fun.

Firebug was too easy to run with. The speed and damage output was insane. Also Blockland is wonky with crouch-jumping and jetting, so that makes them even harder to hit.

Overweight could easily tear down any boss in the game at any given time. It was literally a one-man army, on the wrong team. The spread increase was so he wasn't a better sniper. I feel it's going through a Juggernaut phase and we probably haven't gotten him into the correct place yet.

I'm still unsure if we should've killed Runner how we did. He was the most annoying class ever, and not because he was hard to hit, since it was actually easier than hitting a Firebug, but because of everyone who didn't fight, which brings me to my next point.

The Sniper's SMG is trash. Seriously. I had to stop an argument because it came to mutes since someone was trying to defend using that as a weapon instead of the actual sniper rifle. It does 8 damage per bullet, 10 per clip. You may think 80 damage is really good, but the spread is so wide it's worthless. Not worth using unless it gets buffed.

I could see a "Runner" type class with no double jump having a weapon like a buffed SMG. Except that it won't really work out since you can't dodge any boss in the game, save for Badspot. Or Rotondo. Basically what I'm saying is that it *could* work but I honestly don't want to put that much effort into attempting to save a class that people will hate in the end because it isn't like how it used to be.

I'll add a last note that even though my suggestion to give GS the other watch sort of worked out, it was too easy still for players to use it and hide, and hide they did.

There's my list, hopefully it's not too big.

Pretty sure the Constructor has enough items to fill up an inventory and they're still useful since they got a laser pistol sometime. Giving Detonator is a decent idea which I haven't thought of before, but giving Infiltrator the deflector just seems silly. I don't think it'd be worth splitting a class over.

Second, I think your onto something really nice, I agree the smg rifleman has is not the best but I was only using it as an example, now I just had a great idea, what if instead of regular weapons this runner has "laser" themed weapons to stand out from the others? Like a three shot burst gun, a different laser pistol and a laser baton or something, and to fix the not being able to be hit problem, like I said in one of my posts, reduce runner's speed and give him the run function from the sports player type, from there you can adjust how long the player can run and shorten it or increase it like done with firebug's jets.

I think we should keep scientist, who said there couldn't be 10 classes instead of 9? How about scientist gets his satchel charges moved to detonator's class and scientist gains something like a melee force field item that can only block from the front but not from the back, and the shield breaks once its hit, but it will regenerate over time?

Its just my idea to make scientist a even more defense based class.
