I've spent the time to help from what I'm able to see fit, and I've suggested admins who are acting appropriately and doing their job well. However, once I mention that I should be admin to further help the server, instead of backseat administrating, I'm immediately noted as someone who "tried to help only to gain power."? I can't seem to find any reasonable logic behind this argument. Or, hell, why it's looked at as being a negative at all.
Here are the two ways I have the ability to look at it.
Why would I only be out to "get admin," if I've been here for a month, and never mentioned myself being an admin, nor elude to any ultimate goal in which related to it? I've also never posted an application -- don't you think I would've done that if I really wanted it that much? Don't you think I would've made one preemptive measure assuring that my little scheme play out appropriately? Or would it make more sense to conclude that I mentioned it simply because I felt it would benefit the server. Oh, but we can't abide by that, it's far from being a realistic assumption!
Now, even if I were on a power hunt, what prompted it to be looked at negatively? If someone helped my server this much just to become admin, I wouldn't have hesitated to fill out their request; the original intent may have been deceptive, but the person was obviously aware of what they were doing, and offered a LOT to help benefit the server and its individuals.
Oh, and on that note, isn't everyone who posts an application here simply "out to get admin?" Why does it make this situation any different? It's the fact that, not only was I never out to do this, but the action itself was harmless."
You mentioned that Jetz was able to admin and deadmin individuals, no? I specifically told him not to make me admin, after we discussed it, because I wanted to mention it to you first. Yeah, I'm a real evil motherforgeter.
