Pokémon VG Megathread

Author Topic: Pokémon VG Megathread  (Read 728302 times)

For Pokemon names, I have a Pikachu named Electrk, a Tauros named Tony, a Psyduck named Matthew, and a Wishiwashi named Legion.

Why is Sky Drop said to be "Effective" on Pelipper, but then after taking it into the sky, it turns out that it doesn't affect it when the user goes to smash the Pelipper into the ground?

it's just raw type calculations, the type effectiveness doesn't take into account the special properties of sky drop not affecting flying types, it probably does the same against targets over the move's weight limit

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHH

HAHAHHHHAHAHA

DO YOU WATCH VERLISIFY?
hell no that guys a moron
Most of this was just playing a lot on smogon and richarding around with sets, i try to get as many immunitys/boosting abilitys as I can

The swamp is for the uxie/aself leads, and seeing how little water is used its torrent isn't that good for me
Mantine is loving amazing, the snarl on manectric is just as coverage with a switch in, the life orb+lightningrod boost actually makes a super effective snarl okho some mons, and seriously

Grassium Z heatran is super common.

Grassium z completely outclasses powerherb on SB heatran

An update has just been pushed for Pokémon Bank and the Poké Transporter, allowing for transfer from the 3DS VC versions of Red, Blue, & Yellow (+ JP Green), as well as functionality with Sun & Moon

Pokémon transferred from R/B/Y will have a unique Gameboy marking (similar to the Kalos pentagon and Alola cross), random natures, a possibility of having a hidden ability, and seemingly at least 3 perfect IVs

Additional functionality includes a sort of Pokédex checklist that shows which connected games have a specific Pokémon registered in the Pokédex, and the ability to view stats like the ones that were previously shown during link battles in generation 6 (such as eggs hatched and Pokémon captured)

Additional details about the service are available here

Using Pokémon Bank between now and October 2nd, 2017 will give you the exclusive Mewnium Z Crystal, which allows Mew to convert Psychic into Genesis Supernova

Now I have three fairy types in my party lol
(from Alpha Sapphire)

You should have an ice type Z-Crystal on your Ninetales for the additional STAB damage

STAB damage
what is "STAB" mean?
nevermind looked it up. I give it the Z-crystal.

Some extra information about the Pokémon Bank update:
- Any Mew obtained via glitches in R/B/Y (e.g. trainer fly) are not accepted by the Poké Transporter
- All Pokémon transferred from R/B/Y will have their hidden abilities

The Pokémon Company has addressed the fact that several Mega Stones are missing from Sun & Moon by saying that they will be distributed as gifts for entering certain online competitions in the future. Mawilite and Beedrillite will be given to any player who registers for one of these competitions that happens in late February.

Also a reminder if you have a Volcanion code lying around, it becomes invalid on the 31st.
