That is a Carracosta.

If you know the other 3, then you're only behind on Generation 5.
Carracosta is a Water/Rock type, and is the evolved form of one of the two Gen 5 Fossil Pokemon.

i didn't recognize it either tbh

So apparantly CoroCoro released new information, including the first evolution for the new Starter Pokemon.
All of them keep their single-type for the moment though. Only Japanese names are released.

And Mewtwo has a second MegaEvolution, into MegaMewtwo X. The previous released version is MegaMewtwo Y.

Also, MegaGarchomp is also in the game.

4 new pokemon are also revealed, and information on Fairy Type and it's strengths and weaknesses.
Also, Steel type is no longer resistant to Dark and Ghost type moves.

There's more info, which I'm sure Regulith or someone else will organise into a proper post.
But there you go.

10x better than MegaMewtwo Y in my opinion. Love everything except the feet, they just look weird to me.

Here we go:

Chespin evolves into Hariboogu (jp), a pure Grass-type which learns Mud Shot, making Grass/Ground a suspect for final evolution. Fennekin evolves into Teerunaa (jp), a pure Fire-type which learns Psyshock, making a Fire/Psychic final evolution even more likely than before. Froakie evolves into Gekogashira (jp), a pure Water-type which learns Bounce.

Mewtwo has a second Mega Evolution, Mega Mewtwo X, making the Mega Evolution we've seen before Mega Mewtwo Y. It is Psychic/Fighting-type and has the ability Steadfast. Each is exclusive to their corresponding game. Seems strange that X (XX) is the more masculine one while Y (XY) is the more feminine one considering the games seem to be linked with DNA.

Garchomp's Mega Evolution has the ability Sand Force.

The dog Pokemon seen very shortly during the Pokemon Direct broadcast is Torimian (jp). It has the ability Fur Coat which reduces physical damage and has a customizable appearance.

The two cat Pokemon are actually one, Nyaonikusu (jp), which changes appearance based on gender. The female (left) learns more attacking moves, while the male (right) learns more support moves. Female learns Extrasensory, while male learns Miracle Eye. It has Keen Eye or Infiltrator as an ability.

The fossil Pokemon of X&Y are on the right page, Chigorasu (jp) the Rock/Dragon-type T-Rex on the top with the ability Hard Jaw which increases the power of biting moves like Crunch. Amarusu (jp) on the bottom is a Rock/Ice Diplodocus with the ability Freeze Skin, which turns Normal-type moves into Ice-type moves and raises their power.

We now have an official type chart, finally showing the full strengths and weaknesses of the new Fairy type. Fairy is Super Effective on Fighting, Dark and Dragon and not effective on Fire, Poison or Steel. It also states that it is weak to Poison and Steel while resists Fighting, Dark and Bug. It is immune to Dragon.

Steel has also apparently lost its resistance to Dark and Ghost.

RIP Hydreigon
To RU or NU you go

All of the starter's evolutions suck except for Froakie's...Fennekin's looks stupid bipedal and looks like a furry thing now :L

I hope the final evolutions are better
