Why does my PC have only 7 boxes? Does it expand after I complete the Pokémon League?

It expands as you need it up to 31 + Battle Box

You can force more boxes by putting at least one Pokemon in each box

wtf pokemon just decided to pop back into my life after all these years

i found my ds and pokemon soulsilver totally out of the blue one day, and my friend let me have a spare charger (loss of the original charger was actually what stopped me from playing that ds way back then) and the whole thing actually works, it's like a christmas miracle.
i even found the pokewalker, but after trying three different batteries it's definitely dead.

then i'm looking in some very old containers around the house from a few years back when there was a remodel and i find this gold covered (23 karat or something) togepi card (image isn't my own) from like 1999 burger king, what the hell. it's only really $5 if i tried to sell it, but it's got a ton of sentimental value because i remember having it a long time ago so i wouldn't do that anyways.

then i totally remembered that the rest of my pokemon cards i lost so long ago could only be in one of these boxes, so i'm on the search for them.

this is like totally cool

So I've been breeding Omanytes since this morning and after finally getting one with decent IVs that gets Hidden Power Grass I accidentally swapped it with another one in my box that had HP Dragon and didn't notice until after I spent the evening fully EV training it, getting it to level 50, and then to my horror discovering my HP was neutral on a Horsea

After seeing the Substitute doll in 3D it made me want one, turns out they're like $60+

At the end of the day it's only a minor setback, I've already got my "real" Omanyte EV trained again and halfway to 50

Spent a fair bit of time getting an Infiltrator Zubat though, just gotta breed Brave Bird and maybe Defog over

Let me state this, I am NOT a freaking 10/10 Author but i just gathered data from videos i watched and i just tried to make the passage SOME WHAT helpful. also, please tell me how it is bad to help me improve this.
