I'm not sure what's worse, that there's an extremely long cutscene after battling Rayquaza and Deoxys or that you can't save in between them

I assume (read: hope) there's a way to get back to Deoxys if you KO it but that's still a lot of loving work for anyone who wants to SR for a shiny (if they're not locked) or even decent stats

Well, you could do mystery gift and get a shiny beldum. But I honestly don't know if you can do it now lol.

The only OR/AS event so far is a shiny Beldum holding Metagrossite, and it goes until mid January

Try doing that and realizing you only have 80 Pokeballs, it took around 15 restarts to actually pull off catching Deoxys. Nothing like OHKOing it right as the battle starts, extremely infuriating lol. I did it though, just sent out Sableye (immune to every move it can use) and would damage it a bit and try and try and try. Fun times.
