Author Topic: Pokémon VG Megathread  (Read 846706 times)

This, it hurts, especially after you've been feeding and petting them
the only pokemon that i've maxed out friendliness or whatnot in the pokemon refresh thing is my starter because i know i'm never going to remove him from my party

Garbage, absolute loving garbage. I absolutely despise this new "call for help" feature they thought would be cute to give to all wild Pokemon.

What am I trying to do? Catch Pokemon
How do you catch Pokemon? Chip their health down
Can you catch Pokemon when there are two of them? NO, you CANT.
When does a Pokemon "Call for help"? WHEN ITS HEALTH IS loving DOWN!
I mean, come on!

Ive wiped my team more than once trying to catch a Pokemon that constantly calls for help every turn after I remove the help to catch it. How did they THINK this would add anything but more frustration trying to catch Pokemon that might already be hard to catch??
loving, quick ball forever I GUESS.
forget

Everything else is alright though...

i've heard that chaining the ally system by killing off one and then letting the other one call for help again yields a higher chance of the ally being a shiny each time it's called

i didn't believe that salazzle was "furry bait" until i actually saw it in game lol and that must explain why it's so hard to get

i didn't believe you either

i was mistaken

i've heard that chaining the ally system by killing off one and then letting the other one call for help again yields a higher chance of the ally being a shiny each time it's called

I really dont care about that at all. I just want to catch Pokemon I find and when those Pokemon are roughly the same level as my Pokemon, It really makes it hard to not wipe after the fourth loving ally appears.

It's not funny how irate this actually makes me. Im about to break my DS.

honestly i dont understand the problems people are having. everythings been pretty easy so far, even catching pokemon. then again im not wasting my time with salandit

My big concern for you is whether or not you caught a Poliwag yet

I agree, the call for help stuff is handicapped.

anyway, here is my party now:
Oricorio Lv. 12
Brionne Lv. 19
Meowth (dark version) Lv. 14
TrumBeak Lv. 16
the game isn't too easy for me, tbh.

Eh im not having fun with this one. Guess my patience has run out with the pokemon formula.

I like the region aesthetically at the very least.

This is an interesting thing i found that mentions some things some of you may not know about
http://tunnaa-unnaa.tumblr.com/post/153528846752

The only thing on that list i knew about is setting the ride pager to the d-pad buttons, but that seems like it would be obvious since the buttons are right next to the pokemon

I'm enjoying trying out all the Z-Powers to see what my character does and what the move looks like

Electric, Flying, Bug, Steel, and Ground are probably my favorites

toucannon is probably one of the funnest pokemon i've ever used, skill link with bullet seed and beak blast is fun lol
it can also learn swords dance so bullet seed does even more damage

I bred something for the first time in sun/moon (getting some synch abras and I thought I'd breed instead of wasting a hundred pokéballs) and as someone who has done more breeding than anything in pokémon games I'm not really thrilled with the setup

1) You need both hands on the console to hold up/down and B for Tauros to dash if you want max speed
2) Loading zones on the top and bottom of Straight Street
3) Can't use the d-pad to move and it's very difficult to get the circle pad to go perfectly up or down so you have to watch where you're going
4) No Hatching Power

There's an island in the Poké Pelago that can mass-hatch eggs, but from what I've read it takes way too long to be useful for anything other than hatching while you're unable to play

The eggs seemed to hatch quicker than usual, but that might be a combination of other things fooling me

Anyway I just used that abra to get my box legendary with a good nature and it ended up having great stats, but I used what I believe is the only moon ball in the game so I really hope I don't regret it
