Avalonian scouts note the amassing of a large barbarian army numbering in the millions near a recently completed section of the all-enclosing-wall. They have assembled almost a small nation, and if they attack, the small contingent of troops currently in that area will be unable to stem an invasion. The auxiliary militia in that area is amassing to provide some supplement to the regular force.

Erinaum's President launched a vast crusade to finish the East Wall in 1 month.  The project was a vast fantasy in the eyes of the High Council, and the wall had taken 3 months to only achieve half of it.  Erinaum introduces a new form of production and transportation:  The External Combustion Engine.  It starts building railways along the cbrown towns to reach Avalonia.  Erinamian officials announce that the Avalonian expansion of the cbrown town is only 30 miles away!  Erinaum requests the construction of rail lines into Avalonia's major cities.

Erinauman contractors have the green light. Normally, I'd oppose to us taking such huge jumps as internal combustion engines, but since it's just us now, I say we skip all this and move on to star cruisers and plasma weapons I'll go along with it.

The large barbarian force has breached the section of the all enclosing wall, as it was tragically undermanned, and too few reinforcements could arrive in time. Up to a quarter of the standing Rossiyan military has been destroyed, as isolated contingents were overwhelmed by the sheer number of barbarians. The remainder of the Rossiyan armies are congregating around the Rossiyan political capitol. Avalonian and Aemilian troops are joining them, swelling their numbers to over 2 million.

Avalonia believes that the invasion is a result of subversives in the form of ex-rulers of the Slaintean government, aided by barbarian tribes opposed to the cbrown town, and the far side tribes that invaded the Avalonian colony a while back. Aside from that there are plenty of other tribes that have had no contact with Avalonia and could be easily swayed to attack Avalonia.

Erinaum sends reinforcements of 400000 foot soldiers, 200000 Archers, 100000 Horsemen, 50 squadrons of Åøßáñæ Catapults and 50000 men carrying primitive guns (Much like the Yuan Gun).  We will push through their rear lines like a stone plunges into the sea.  They will be defenseless in this tight pinch.

The barbarian army has fled to the shores, and seized any vessels they found there, as well as taken a small fleet believed to have been there in preparation of a retreat. This not only indicates a competent commander in charge of the force, but also that there is a spy within either the Erinauman or Avalonian military/political circles. Avalonian warships followed the fleet, but lost them in a storm. The fleet is believed to be headed to the far side. Forces of the Avalonian Union have been sweeping Rossiya Imperii to ensure that none of the invaders remained behind to cause further havoc. Erinauman forces are still welcome, as it is unlikely that this will be the final attack, though forces in such great numbers as have been already sent are unnecessary. The Avalonian far side fleet has rallied to ensure the safety of both the Avalonian and Erinauman colonies.

Erinaum institutes a system and invites old Caprican officials to detect and oust any corrupted officials.  The Capricans have had a long tradition of detecting barbarian influence.

The Subordinates have been executed in the Capitol and it's surrounding Districts.  A more thorough purge happens in Outer Districts.  Smaller Subordinates are also executed.

Erinaum builds a network of rail lines within it's borders, allowing the shipment of goods to be faster from the farmlands of the west, the forests of the North, the Mountains of Central Erinaum and Metal Ores from the Mountains of Southeast Erinaum.  Other occupied regions such as Caprica receive rail lines also.

Coal is shipped from the south in abundance.

Avalonia has removed upwards of 100 subversives from within its borders. A counterfeiting scheme was also discovered which melted down Avalonian coins of almost pure silver and gold, and then corrupted them with other metals and reminting, selling the pure silver on the side to make a profit. Both subversives and counterfeiters have been publicly hung.

Avalonia henceforth makes its coins of less pure metal so as to make the bullion of the metal in the coins worth less than the value of the coin, therefore eliminating the smelting/counterfeiting threat to the Avalonian currency.
