Erinaum looks over it's military and government quarter and deems it safe from subversives.  All but 8 Senior Caprican Officials will be released next year on June 1^st.

Erinaum takes a new census and finds out that population of Erinamian Citizens and the people of controlled regions has amassed to over 17 million.

The amassed population of Avalonia, its colonies, tributary nations, and territories is around 20 million, although an exact number cannot be pinpointed, as there are certain regions in which Avalonian citizens, or those under Avalonian rule live in which are very nearly inaccessible. The census has counted every two of the far side natives as one Avalonian, as their loyalties shift very easily with the tides of war as the attack on the colony many years ago suggests.

The army that ran rampant through Rossiya has been sort of located. The landing sight of their ships has been discovered on the continent that Mikoyan invaded with his Japan based country. Several hundred charred wrecks of ships were found, indicating that they have no plans to go back to sea where Avalonia and Erinaum have a distinct advantage. Avalonian presence on this continent is scarce, meaning that there will be no help from the natives, which are reportedly cannibalistic. A large Avalonian host is marching to the continent, with the navy scouting for any signs along the coast, and a large cavalry division has been sent ahead to create a forward central base of operations for the main host to operate from when it reaches the cavalry host.

Erinaum's Rail lines reach the first major Avalonian City.

Because Avalonia is so rich, and wishes to send a gift to Erinaum, 2 chests of jewels are sent to Erinaum, one by cbrown town, the other by rail, each is covered by an Erinauman flag dyed with the deep purple from the mollusks of Avalonia's seas, rendering the large flags worth more than the jewels due to Avalonian confiscation of certain amounts of it to keep the price up. Avalonia also sends the chemical recipe to make the explosions of fireworks vary in color, it adds a good dramatic effect (The red and orange hues were especially useful in making an impression on fire worshiping far side natives). Avalonia lastly sends its best wishes.

The cavalry division has sent word that they have arrived at their destination, and are setting up the forward command base.

We've got gunpowder for non military or experimental military use, and we've got trains if that's any use as a point of reference.

Avalonia creates a prototype military rocket with small shards of iron embedded in the gunpowder of a second chamber sealed off from the first with slow burning wax. The same idea is being used with ceramic pots to be launched from catapults.

Erinaum suggests to add 20% of it's Flammable Jelly, created from it's old alcoholic mixtures now infused with 20% gunpowder, which dissolves in it, and is distilled again at a relatively low temperature.  It allows higher temperatures and has similar properties to thermite and burns a 1 gram per minute, making it essentially a very efficient chemical.

(Using 50%-70% gunpowder in the mixture requires a lower distillation temperature, and takes much longer than 20%.  The higher percentage of the mixture makes the jelly into a high-explosive mixture, but is very difficult to transport because of it's low flash point and expensive storage methods.)

Erinaum makes good use of the wealth sent and flies the flags over it's newly made Capitol building.  The Jewels are used to research steam-powered motors on ships and larger more efficient steam engines on trains.  The rail lines reach the Avalonian Capitol and 4 more major cities.

Avalonian census takers noted a high infant mortality rate. The Avalonian government is taking measures to ensure a higher infant survival rate, and therefore, a higher future population, as well as larger potential military, and larger workforce. The measures mainly include the provision of extra foods for married pregnant women, as well as clothing for the child for its first month. These services are being provided at only one quarter their normal rate (any Avalonian citizen can be benefited with food and clothing, but they pay the government for the service, as per Avalonian tax code).

Avalonia begins exploiting the far side further for iron, lumber, flax, and foodstuffs. (3/5 flax and foodstuffs go to the plan to decrease infant mortality, rest is sold by the Avalonian government within the free maket.)

An Erinamian steam engine crosses over the Avalonian border at 55 miles per hour.  This first "high-speed" train is given to Avalonia as a gift.

Avalonia sends its thanks and ensures that it will make good use of the train.

Avalonian metalurgy (that how it's spelled?) has made a huge advance as a new, quicker and more cost efficient means of making steel has been discovered. Steel output increases by 15 percent, and the iron mining industry receives a comparable boost. Steel is no longer reserved for military purposes, but is entering into use in agricultural and other ndustries requiring heavy duty tools.

Literacy in Avalonia reaches a peak of 88 percent, with 67 percent able to read and write in multiple languages.

A new religion is blossoming in Avalonia centering around the principles of fulfilment of duty, living a moral lifestyle, and self denial. The religion boasts upwards of one million followers, and is providing a stability within Avalonia not known in generations due to internal issues such as resistance to a strong central government.

The main Avalonian force reaches the forward command base and begins sweeps of the countryside, though little sign of the army has bee found so far, Avalonian generals remain hopeful.
