Isle Vae officially part of Aemilius's control.  Volcano is on the island, unfortunately.  However its numerous natural resources make it to good an option to turn down until a disaster is on the way.
About half of the destroyed fleet is back in sailable condition, however we will use these as fishing boats so we don't push our luck.
Resource pool increases ultimately.  Profit increases.  Trade encouraged.

Messengers from a remote corner of Sláinte come with news:

It seems Nexians have re-entered the old abandoned castle dedicated to Amnesh from many years back.
They do not come in great force and do not appear to be doing anything hostile to the few isolated people in that region.

The Nexians are effectively annexing their old castle back and declare that the land will be better cared for and used by Nexians.
Much of the area that had been declared inhospitable for plants is already starting to be farmed to support the Nexians in and near the castle.

Nexia promises that they will not extend any farther into any owned territory, that they are only doing this because they feel the land is completely unused and it was destined to be theirs (They built the castle after a sign from Amnesh that the location was blessed), and that they do not seek war (The land isn't really worth the loss of life except to Nexians).

The yellow represents land that Nexia has annexed

Red represents the location of the old castle

Did Slainte agree to this?

Although I hesitate to believe that Nexus is aiding me by encroaching on Slainte, I take it as what the people of that era would call a "good omen" and the Supreme Emperor of Avalonia retracts the former ban on Amnesh worship to the extent of allowing opn worship of Amnesh, as well as the preaching of the word of Amnesh within Avalonia and its territories.

Meanwhile, the jewel worshipers have continued to rally around the three gems stronghold of Angband.

The ships are pretty much repaired and more are being built. More troops are being trained, and more fortifications are being made. A good supply of food has been stashed away, and some has been traded away, even duing these times of hostility. Avalonia gives its formula for rust proof iron to its allies, as well as shipments of food and arms. The forging and stockpiling of armambents continues, and is facilitated by the opening of a new iron mine near Aemilius's border.

Bad News:
A sickness seems to be infecting the oxen in northern Avalonia. The oxen become weak, and although they can be saved with a month's rest, that month harms farmers to a great extent. Food and money are being supplied to the farmers affected by the sickness.

Wilkes Hest, the oldest man in Avalonia passed away at the ripe old age of 60. Not much to be said about him. :/

While we're on the topic of border expansion. We've been very successful in eliminating the barbarians, it seems the farther east we go the stronger they get, that shouldn't be a problem though. Large groups of settlers are being moved into the territory to establish villages, and towns. The lines are being redrawn as we speak.

If caprica would like some resources to get this annexed land started, just ask.

We don't want to burden you....There is still plenty of land left over if you want a slice.

Map added to my page.  Shoddy work, but hey, it's my first and I mostly made it out of boredom.

In other news, new food surpluses help get Nexians out from foraging and hunting and help to rebuild the lands wrecked by the volcano.  Farms are finally being developed seriously by Nexians and the more fertile lands of New Nexia are being put to good use.  Most water sources are now clean of the poison ash.

The barbarian regime in Hessia is no longer a threat, as they have incurred the deaths of about 28,000 people (70% of the population) and nearly all of their slaves have gone missing.

1500 Nexian soldiers rout the remaining barbarians and are occupying Hessia for the time being.

The attack on the greater Erinamian tribes were successful.  Fewer lives were lost as expected.  Erinamian Empire is formed.  (look a few pages back for details).  Erinamians become aware of the settlement of the New Nexia colony.  They send peace offerings of 200 oxen, 50 donkeys, and 250 Shédñas of gold.  (Equal to about 50 pounds)

New holiday in Kingdom of Erinaum:  Valdesœr Day

Valdesœr Day celebrates the birth of the Erinamian Empire by liberating themselves from the greater Erinamian tribes.  These larger tribes inhabited large cities and cultivated vast, well-irrigated farmland.  Their Capitol, Naví-aárê has fallen to the new Erinamian Regeme.  The nation is enjoying a period of celebration and plenty.  All paintings, carvings and statues of the evil idols have been taken down and burned.  King ¡œvón I has been made the leader of this new nation of 748,202 citizens.

Avalonia congratulates Erinaum on its victory.

Avalonia's population grows as refugees from the conquests of Caprica flee to the strongholds of Avalonia. Avalonia has trained many of these refugees as soldiers, and the Avalonian military's size is very great.

So you were ranting about his ships and now you get a castle?

So you were ranting about his ships and now you get a castle?

Would you like to start an argument?

It is quite a stretch to call it a rant, and it was not about slainte, if that is what "his" refers to.  There wasn't even any specific details to "rant" about, it was mostly the way the "flagship" was presented that sounded like some huge ship of the line, but I didn't really have any specific reason to think that.

Yes I get a castle.  It probably isn't exactly a huge stone fortress castle, but I don't feel like being super specific.  It is pretty much just some defensible position with walls and a few buildings.

Dont refer to it as a castle if it isn't a castle.
