Well, the time came for the strike, and the island colony was succesfully recaptured. Almost 100,000 tribesmen were killed or maimed. Total Avalonian loss of life was 60,000 men. Rebuilding of the razed colony commences.

Avalonian economy has become a little stagnant, so to revamp it, a new currency is being issued, and all citizens are entitled to full recompense of old currency for the new.

Gold coin: Avor
Silver coin: Hazep
Bronze coin: Bosap
Iron coin: Sonep
Half coin: Cres

The old currency was widely regarded as unkempt, as some coins had been found to be circulating in isolated villages for hundreds of years! worn down and virtually unrecognizable. To ensure a better, and more stable currency, the Avalonian government has hoarded precious metals and such to back its currency. The economy is expected to jump by 1 percent, which will bring the economy up past it's usual flourishing state. A shiny coin seems much more valuable than a worn disc of metal.

Am I going to have to blow up another Capitol each week to keep this thread alive? Should we just let it die at this point?

I think it would be more active if we could actually fight a war, my calculation didn't seem to please anyone and it wasn't very good anyway. If it would help, I can post a better version, and I think it's a lot better than the first one.

I guess we could try divvying up the world, that sure riled things up last time.

Not into future-ey stuff.  Plus I'll have to draft a charter that lays out the Economy and Government of Representative Socialism - which I thought of and it seems a good system.  Also, I'd need a model country for that thread.  Naturally, I'd just use Erinaum, but so far all the countries there currently are modeled after one irl.

Once cannons and airplanes exist my whole Maginot Line strategy that I so favor here becomes obsolete and I loose a big advantage defensively. The Maginot Line did eventually fall, but Avalonia's all enclosing wall has stood the test of time and the threat of invasion repeatedly. If I join 2.0, I not only lose my existing advantage, but attempting to replicate it would be disastrous; and I'd be starting from scratch trying to catch up to everyone else. Even if me and Swat both joined and immediately went ham on building, worked together, and all that, we'd still be far behind everyone else.

Avalonian troops take over Aemilius as a tributary nation. If/when morn comes back he can have it back.

Blowing up another nation won't do any good as far as revival. Swat, you're the only person who might actually notice, everyone else is pretty much inactive here, and you're my closest ally, exempting you from all of that. Frontrox is the only potential target, but I don't know if even he would care (also he'd give us a REAL run for our money ;) ). Want to just divvy up the world? Because I'm shot for ideas of how to keep this alive :(

Erinaum uses it's new expanded army of 2 million and rushes in to capture Slainte with Blitzkrieg tactics.  The capitol fall within 2 months.  They were planning to retaliate against Erinaum y using some new substance.  It appears to be a smooth black powder and is a combonation of elements somewhat common around the world.  They call it "Blast Powder"

(Slainte may return to Tomcat if he comes back, if not, it is a permanent land source.)

Erinaum works on a new method of "cooking" the oxygen out of its coal, as purified carbon is necessary for making this blast powder.

It carts off 4 tons of it and sends 2 tons to Avalonian alchemists.  Erinaum encourges them and their own alchemists to try to develop new technologies from them.
