I agree that not all locations would be known, that is logical.
However, I must say that I've no problem ending this war quickly with a brief series of nuclear attacks that wipe out everything, either sending us into the dark ages, or putting us in some weird future like the whole Adventure Time thing, or one where the cave mutants emerge after a thousand years to the rusted ruins of our civilizations.
As to nuking everything being noobish, yes, it kind of is. However, it's also a very efficient and economical means of causing destruction in ememy territorry. I did also say that the nukes wouldn't logically turn your nation into a big cinder. The nukes and other missiles were tactically aimed to destroy such installations as factories, highly populated cities (especially any with local military installations and/or airports), power plants, known military instalations, &c.
As far as shooting down my missiles, I don't think that anti-radar material is too far fetched. Also, volume of missiles would result in serious destruction anyway, cluster bombs help too. This would result in the partial crippling of your war machine, mass hysteria (possibly anarchy in some areas), and a devastating effect on Red Sphere logistics due massive structural damage.
Morn had just as well nuke us all now, because I don't see this getting any better unless we can all call a ceasefire for the sake of general wellbeing, which doesn't look too likely right now.
The Avalonian people are not all stoics, no. However, Avalonian citizens undergo (for lack of a better term) brainwash from childhood up. There's almost an Orwellian Nightmareish trust in the government. Avalonians are human sheep to their government. If they don't like what's going on, they've been trained throught doublethink and other such things to simply regard it as a breach of faith that must be snuffed out in the deepest crevices of their brain. Ever read 1984? If so, you have some idea what I've got going.
Also, being nuked woudn't help to prevent rebellion in the Red Sphere either.
If you want to nuke me now, I'm fine with that. It's logical and natural that you do so. But know that it won't be able to undo anything. Our world will be in ruins after all this anyway, why not make them radioactive ruins? I almost hope you do, it feels weird waiting for you to do it, and if your missile grid couldn't stop me, mine can't reasonably stop yours. Either way, life could still go on and we could continue or cut off our hostilities as we see fit on a relatively clean slate.
Avalonia fires a nuke into Erinaum's Ice Moon claim and Avalonia's military satelites continue to destroy Red Sphere sattelites.
Avalonian atomic submarines cut off East Aemilius from any outside contact. Napalm strikes ensue to burn out anything that can provide a stable food supply.
Dang I made this long. Yep, but at least with the TTG we didn't have the capability to destroy cities all at once. This will probably be a lot worse.
