CM7 used to crash roughly once a day for me, requiring me to pull the battery. No issue with ICS. I'd also like to know how CM7 is faster than ICS, for me the experience has been the opposite. Bear in mind that I'm talking about vanilla ICS, not one of those "preview" AOSP ROMs.

You didin't get a stable rom for CM7 then.

Stock roms include bloatware and also have several limitations. CM7 is faster because it doesn't have all the bloatware, and is more optimized in general.

Mack add me.

I have a rooted mytouch 4G using the root.sh and Visionary method, permroot. Running MIUI

Oh and the reason CM7 crashed for you was probably because you updated to CM7 from ICS. You can only upgrade to CM7 from Android 2.2

There are many bugs with updating from other versions.

It's a Nexus S, which is pretty much just AOSP + Google apps (which you still get with CM7).

I went from 2.3 to CM7, with a complete wipe between. Nexus S never even had 2.2.

question

how can I get custom icons on my droid revolution :u

Can it blend?
Depends.
If you put android on an micro chip and put it in a blender it would.
But trying to blend firmware ..seems impossible

Fairly sure you need a custom launcher, such as LauncherPro (which I recommend anyway over the Stock GB one, btw) to do that.

Bumping this stuff. Also going to add everyone new to the list hopefully

lol everyone else in my family has an android thing

my sister has a droid 2 and a xoom (supposed to be for the family but she brings it everywhere)

I have an old dumbphone

But I have a laptop and a gaming computer so I win

When my Galaxy S 4G was rooted I got it to 1.5GHz with a slight voltage increase. B)
I would start a game and stick it in my pocket in winter...very effective.

I hate being in an iPhone family...

Doesn't mean you can't always switch over.

add me to that lovey list of people
HTC EVO 4G Cyanogenmod 7.0

Just bought my first phone in 8 years.
Running Android 2.2

Bought it online, will pick it up tomorrow. Anyway, basic specs:

A5000
460+280MHz MTK6515 CPU
3.5 inch HVGA 320*480 touch screen
dual core memory: 512 ROM and 256RAM
expandable memory up to 32GB
3.2MP camera

I know it's not a well known brand or anything, but it only cost me $130. That's about $90 US, and over here phones are expensive. I'm lucky I got a touchscreen for that price, let alone an Android.

Those specs don't even make sense. "Dual core memory", what?
Anyway, those up here you can get an unlocked Wildfire S with free surf for 1500-2000 SEK (roughly £150-200).
