Do you know if it works well?

It really, really, really doesn't. Just stick with iOS.

Any indication on what condition the old one is in?
None at all.  It's all on AT&T's website only.

Refurb'd for $9.99
vs
New for $99.99.

Related;  Found some refurbished reviews that aren't just hotlinked off Samsung's product reviews.

I remember dual-booting Android on my old N900. It worked awfully.

Did anyone mention how fragmented and unreliable Android is?

Which is why you get a Nexus.

Only a few phones run Android without problems.

...which is why it's fragmented and unreliable as an OS.

I like to think of Android phones like bicycles

you can get a really cheap one but it'll be stuff and break on you

or you can get a really expensive one and it'll last you a lifetime
