The government can jail anyone they loving want to jail if they have even the slightest suspicion that the person in question is a threat to national security. It's not hard to believe the US would become a police state since that bill is in effect.

Although they are trying to limit our freedoms, it isn't a police state as nobody has seen anything such as the govt openly limiting our freedoms or arresting without a trial.

With the NDAA and SOPA we have now paved the way for the Great American Police State.
I personally believe that all those who have passed these laws that fundamentally overwrite everything that was important in the constitution to be arrested and put on public trail; as traitors of the nation.
Furthermore I am INCREDIBLY pissed at the ignorance shown by the American people to let the NDAA pass without so much as a gasp.

What I'm saying, and Ladios too, is that it pretty much makes it easier for this type of thing to happen.  Obviously we're in no police state yet, but this is just a prelude to it.
