do something action-y.
There isn't really anything action-y to do besides trying to go fight that mech.

Sit around and wait for daylight.

Then move the stuff.
After dozing off a few times, it seems to be daytime. You get up and stretch, rousing the others.

Nothing out of the ordinary seems to have happened outside, so you and Lia work on further tidying up the basement while Navaro and Stojanow walk outside.

WHO CONTROL

YOU ARE NOW BOT.

You seem to be caught in a mind battle about puppies, but you decide to set that matter aside and begin thinking of how nice it would be to be a chair.

In your opinion, that lady carrying you isn't very bright. She's so, so negative! She just doesn't see the bright side of anything- yes, it's completely true that that mech would've made a lovely chair for mentally insane cyborg kittens with fairy wings, but that's beside your point. What you really mean to say is that her personality is so vapid and she could probably use a bit of pepper to go with that silly mentality of hers.

Maybe one day you'll show her how to bake delicious chocolate starfruit cookies and feed them to fluffy toasters. Anyways, what should you do?

Go page the lady carrying you about what you think about what they're doing.

You decide to make these vitally important thoughts known to the dimwitted lady who carries you around like a little rabid dog in a fuzzy purse down the beach.

>HEY
>I THINK THAT MECH MIGHT'VE MADE A NICE CHAIR
>WELL, FOR KITTENS AT LEAST.
>WITH WINGS.
>AND MENTAL PROBLEMS.
>
>ALSO I SHOULD TEACH YOU HOW TO BAKE
>AND HOW TO FEED TOASTERS.

You can feel her taking you out of one of her pockets, and you can just sense the huge smile on her face as she finally realizes how dimwitted she was all along! (In reality, though, you know that such fantasies are folly, because there's no easy way to get through her head.)

>What are you even trying to say?
>I'M SAYING YOU NEED MORE PEPPER.
>
>
>
>AND MAYBE SALT.
>
>PEPPER AND SALT.
>YES.
>YOU'D BE JUST LOVELY LIKE THAT, LIKE A VISCOUS ALIEN CATERPILLAR.
>Whatever.

You can feel her put you back in her pocket. Oh, how you'd love to show her how great your little world of sparkles and cute, rabid, fuzzy animals is, but it's just not to be. How tragic indeed!

What now?

Continue indulging in your thoughts.

Ah, yes. Your thoughts drag you back into your colorful mind. You can hear the symphony of fish breathing, the cheerful singing of trees surrounding you. It's such a lovely place, really. You wish you could stay in here more often. It's still full of lovely chairs: spinning ones, rolling ones, antique ones...

You sit down on a winged chair and relax as it takes flight. It takes you high up into space, and you can see vast expanses of stars. Dotted here and there are space ships and space stations, astronauts and abducted horses. You can see cheerful people waving at you from inside the sailing saucers; they seem to be such cheery fans.

The chair settles down on top of a space station, where you can watch your little rainbow world spin around and around like a pretty top. It's oh so nice, you wish you could bring more people with you.

What now?

Be Markus.
thank you i was running out of silly ideas

YOU ARE NOW MARKUS NAVARO

You're following Stojanow around the empty town. It doesn't seem so bad anymore, but it still is... a bit eerie. Just the fact that everyone sort of scrambled to get out of here. But for what?

Stojanow tosses you some stuff, and you quickly catch it. It must be some of that decorating stuff Lia wanted; something about "cozy-ing up the place." You could care less, it's still a basement.

You kick a few pebbles on the dusty street. Despite how futuristic that underground place you came from looked, the surface sure wasn't showing such advancements. These houses were simple wooden structures; the roads were rough cobblestone paths, the places between the stones filled with sand.

The desert seems pretty bland, overall. The only really interesting thing about it is this town, and even that isn't incredibly interesting. You're tempted to take your scarf off, it wasn't really meant for desert areas; moreso for colder places, like where you woke up.

Stojanow seems to have found everything Lia requested. What now?

Travel to nearest town that's inhabited.
