Author Topic: Kid in English Class Yelled Offensive Remark  (Read 6586 times)

The whole, "I have my opinion" argument doesn't work if you're trying to force it on people. I don't give a forget whether you believe in something or not, but you're asking for criticism by posting it on the internet.
i'm not trying to force anything on anyone here, lol. but if you don't care about what i believe, then i honestly don't see the need for you to reply to it.

i don't practice islam so i suppose you could just as easily say that i would go to their hell too, but it's not like i'm forcing you to believe it.
If you hold the Bible as indisputable and irrefutable belief (I bet you read and accept it just as thoroughly as you read TOS agreements), then you must accept the words held within. This statement is actually extremely damaging to you and here is why. By admitting that other faiths have a version of hell just as your own religion does, you admit that people who do not believe in your religion would get sent to your religion's version of hell. The problem: people go to hell for believing the wrong religion (belief is instilled on children often with hard to reverse effects, therefore, not their fault at all that they believe in a different religion), which is what you believe. Anyone believing this, which actually amounts to a few as few could admit that this is inherently true, is evil.

>posts something on a forum where anyone can criticize your ideals
>complains about people thinking he's trying to push the envelope

There's no, "Just throwing that out there" when you're communicating on a forum.

I was going to post a gay joke, butt forget it.

i'm not complaining about people thinking i'm trying to push some sort of envelope. I saw that people were misunderstanding my original post in this thread so i decided to clarify so that you can know what i really mean. i'll clarify when necessary, but i'm not going to debate religion with you.

The bible being a source of many morals today and you people overlooking that.

It seems the time he said he was religious people came in boatloads because now they have a valid argument against him.

Which is counterproductive, because you're insulting the christian faith in order to forward how deeply you support gays, or pretend to.

I believe you have made it clear to us that you definitely believe that people will be sent to hell for reasons such as believing in the wrong religion. By believing the religion, you definitely show your support for an unjust God such as this one. Do not even attempt to half-ass an argument, I never ever said that you directly threatened people with going to hell. Take the time to read what I write.

dude that kid sucks. i have like 20 in my classes
Wow.

OT:
What comic/whatever do you get your avatar from?

Women's rights - First Timmothy, Chapter 2.  Verses 9-12
Shaving - Leviticus 19:27
Cursing - Ephesians 5:4
Gossip - Leviticus 19:16
Football on Saturdays - Exodus 20:8
Eating Lobster - Leviticus 11:10
Eating Pork - 11:7
Cotton/Polyester Blends - Leviticus 19:19

Note how many of those aren't followed in Western culture.

It irritates me that Jesus had a fairly sane message and then there is the Old Testament
