Jesus loving christ guys, what's wrong with having a system installed and customized the way you like it?
I realize PurpleMetro doesn't have the same intentions (or knowledge) when using and constantly switching between distros, but there really isn't any problem as long as he's fine with it.
It's not really news that some people may not prefer window borders, that some people prefer minimalism, and that some people thought it would be neat to, for one reason or another, showcase their interests via keeping their current activities unminimized.
There's a nice little thing called preference, and just because someone or something is different, that doesn't mean they're trying to be edgy.
for his intentions, he never claimed a valid reason to use linux, his hardware can run windows 7 fine and he didn't have any issues with it. That comes to my other point being, that he switches operating systems too much. I don't get the appeal to that, if he switches distros, he normally does it because he likes the look of some feature that it has like openbox or some other ricey feature. I use windows because it has best compatibility, if I werent I would be using linux for a system, but then again I have most programs to use. I really see no appeal to making a good desktop, sure it has minimilism, but does he really need to switch it every other day?

I do like him though, I feel bad for calling him out as I did before, and I probably wont do it again, or be calm about it. I don't want this to come out as insulting. Because I am friends with him and I enjoy talking to him
