Author Topic: "Remove "In God we trust" from legal tender" Petition on Whitehouse.gov  (Read 27315 times)

I think that we should just get rid of paper and coin money altogether.

We should have everything on a plastic card that says, "United States Legal Plastic."

Sure, for the first few hundred years people will go millions in debt, but eventually we'll get the hang of it.

well obamacare has RFID chips to be installed in the future. for identifying and probably credit and account scanning. and god forbid.... tracking?
hows that for some mark of the beast stuff lol

America is a free country, and it allows all religions to be practiced, removing "In God we Trust" makes it seem less free

Most Hindus don't believe in one god

Most Buddhists don't believe in a god

Atheists don't believe in a god

How does removing it make it less free?

Replace to: "In God(s) we may or may not trust, or even believe in."

country was founded because of money

america doesn't want to be overtaxed
britain taxes them
battle

this is what most battles are about anyway, money
Nope, Taxes were one of many causes. The colonies rebelled because they didn't have representation in parliament, which also made them easier to be exploited by bullstuff policy making.

America is a free country, and it allows all religions to be practiced, removing "In God we Trust" makes it seem less free
So it also far Muslims, even though it doesn't say "In Allah we trust"?

I think the new motto should be Non Sibi Sed Alis, man.

It completely contradicts the modern day morals of the government.

Hes got a point, removing it would make it even more free.

America is a free country, and it allows all religions to be practiced, removing "In God we Trust" makes it seem less free
This

If it wasn't for the "in god we trust" and "one nation under god" and things like that I would feel as if we was in City 17

half of that statement was wrong, but anyways if you support this petition its a really dumb thought

Replace to: "In God(s) we may or may not trust, or even believe in."

Now we're moving on the right track!

This country was founded on religion. Replacing the saying is just taking away what this whole country is about.
How is it that so many people are terribly misinformed about the founding of this country? There's been like 8 idiots who've said this now.

America is a free country, and it allows all religions to be practiced, removing "In God we Trust" makes it more free
Fixed that for you.

This is disghusting. Now the government just wants to destroy the country and everything the founding fathers stood for.
Are you handicapped?  This isn't about removing religion, its about separating Religion from State.

Plus they stood for freedom of religion.

I really hope you're just trolling or something.

yeah, but money was one of the major causes

this is really history 101

Fixed that for you.

how? america's main idea was to have alot of diverse population, and for everyone to be able to practice their religion.
removing the motto makes it seem like everyone in the country is athiest, when it isnt.

Having the motto makes it seem like everyone in the country believes in god, when not everyone does.

I suppose you think that everyone who doesn't have "I AM A THEIST" printed on their chest is an atheist?
