The same could be said vice versa. Why does it already strike so many nerves with atheists and other religions?

Because I'm sick of my forgettarded friends going "HURRDURR MONEY SAYS GOD IS REEL UR WRONG THER IS A GOD HURRDURR EVEN USA SEYZ ITS REEL UR STUPID!!!!"

No one does that, and trying to make someone seem dumb by typing in a handicapped fashion is just stupid. If what someone is saying is stupid, it will speak for itself.

why do you care whats on your nickel?

looks like someone missed this entire topic. when those reasons have been given only 100 times

I find putting God's name on money as sacrilegous. Anyways, who knows. Maybe the government could secretly change back to E Plubris Unum and no one will notice and people will forget that "In God we Trust" was ever there.

I know some so called pocket Christians that don't go to church, they don't read the bible, have broken almost all Ten Commandments.

I have to say no, because this is a stupid and pointless waste of time.
Atheists shouldn't care because they don't believe in God, not believe there is none.
Polytheists can still believe it refers to whatever deity they choose.
Everyone else can believe it refers to their religion.

That's the genius of it.

Any Christian does that on a regular basis and they know it.

To be honest even if this did pass through it wouldn't work being their isn't enough gold to match the current amount of printed money as it is. So doing this would only send us into a farther crises and possibly another economic crash.

^- That has to be the smartest thing i'v said in a white.

I know I do. I ain't been to church since 2003, I probably broke every commandment and all that. I'll have to get my ass to do something good to take and fix that.

I hope you guys know they're never going to change it, lol.

I don't want to drag too much religion into this thread. It one of the main things Christians strive for is forgiveness and rabble rabble read the bible to find out why.

Also this.

I'll probably never read the bible, not fully anyways.

Anyways lets drift away from religion and get back on topic.

I'm just stating the truth.

my brain turned around and stared at itself for a second before I realised it didn't say "green blacks" in the bolded text

What?
It was never said that current circulation would be reprinted, only that new money made would no longer have the phrase. Please, just learn to read and not suggest things that were never stated.

The irony of what I see as behavior in a lot of the Catholic/Christian faith is people who ask for forgiveness from their high and mighty "god" and are so intolerant and unforgiving of others.
