Author Topic: Zombies in the Bluzone** [[CLOSING]]  (Read 581014 times)

You know how Kiro tolk the pilot about his radio, and who it belonged to? Good job. He's probably going to sens out an order to ignore transmissions from that radio from now on.. Good job.

Im off to sleep, bue.

We know how to role-play, but you can only do it for so long in the same environment with the same people until it gets boring.

Yet you guys always complain this isn't hosted enough.

As admins you can either tell us to shut up and deal with it, or you can appeal to our desires, which is what being an admin is about. But whatever, it's your choice.

Now this really stuck out to me. Nice job implying the admins won't appeal to "your desires." This is specifically why I included this:
Yes, the admins are there to help you with your Bluzone experience, but we're not going to give you some Role-play 101 class in the server. Seriously, this is not even difficult. Go take a look at some of those links Nikki posted - or even start paying attention in English class. Maybe you'll learn something.
in my post. So none of you would complain "Oh blah blah blah, the admins are supposed to do what we want because the players are always right!" See: Jericho

But okay, lets see what you proposed.

Personally I think Gammaton ruined it for me. I was really excited when it came out and stuff, but now it's hard to even find people to RP with without wasting half the time we have, which is already miniscule. If the environment changes we don't need new locations. A snowy version of the map (which someone has I think), buildings crumbling and staying fallen, broken pipeline, moving a car, moving sleeping bags, breaking lights, blocking windows, landslides, sinkholes, erosion, and above all, plants that overgrow everything.

-have various forms of the build for different times and save after every session for small changes

Name me one game where the environment adapts like this in a big open-world. Then realize that you have one guy working this big build, with the occasional helper. You're asking for a lot here.

-change weapon damage on zombies and probably change their spawn locations

So we're talking about the role-playing aspect, but you want to focus on the gameplay piece that would affect the role-play a teeny bit. Okay, seems reasonable.

-more admins and consequentially more hosting. (I'm not so sure if this would be all that good anymore… But it would certainly get people to have fun)

I'm not even going to bother with this.

You can ignore it but you might lose some fans, or something else…

Well since I'm only a Super Admin and have no power over this - it's up to Knaz. I'm just voicing my opinion, even though I shouldn't since I'm supposed to provide a good example as an admin. I don't mind losing a "few fans" or "something else." Whatever the hell that is.

EDIT: Somehow one part got cut out, added it back in.

I have to agree with Awdax. I didn't take kindly to this part.

If we do it every once in a while, it won't be too much. He's just asking that we randomize it a little.

I know how to fix the problem let's spawn more zombies!!!

lol@ike

Anyways, guys, let's please stop arguing. Primary interaction is player-to-player and not player-to-ai, so unless someone RPs as a zombie, the zombies will be an afterthought.

Yours seems broken, my good man.

It's not broken, it just wasn't needed.

I know, I did that to hopefully spark a little bit o' flare into the RP ;)

Yet you guys always complain this isn't hosted enough.
Do you realize what you're even saying? We like the server, but it could be improved. You're fighting this as if I'm attacking you. It's weak.

I'm just voicing my opinion, even though I shouldn't since I'm supposed to provide a good example as an admin.
Yeah you really suck at this.

The philosophy I read here is "If a problem isn't big enough don't fix it"
Real good attitude for an administrator to have…

I'm not even going to bother with this.
This is also contrary to what an admin should think.
I'm not trying to attack you as a person, but I'm saying that as an admin you're arguing in the wrong way, for the wrong things.

Name me one game where the environment adapts like this in a big open-world. Then realize that you have one guy working this big build, with the occasional helper. You're asking for a lot here.
But he has an immense amount of people to help and support him.

I never said that. What I said was that it's your choice to tell us to shut up (which is what you (not every admin) specifically did)) or you can help us. Another way of saying I think you should help us. I didn't say that all of the admins are unhelpful, I said your response was an example of an unhelpful admin.

Great, more fighting...

Okay I'll admit I do suck as an admin and I'm fighting over nothing. I'd gladly let you take over for me.

Oh god you guys, shut up before someone gets banned/deadmined/god-knows-what

Oh god you guys, shut up before someone gets banned/deadmined/god-knows-what

Please.

Seriously, Kiro.
You're getting close to asking for a ban.

I don't see him doing anything wrong. If anything, it's me starting all this.

Oh god you guys, shut up before someone gets banned/deadmined/god-knows-what

No one is getting banned.

Honestly, look at me. I induce paranoia into players. I can't let go of the style of the old Bluzone. I get angry almost all the time and argue. I'm a hot-headed 16-year old chump.

Do you really want an admin like me on this server? Really, ask yourself this. You of all people Bill, too.

And yet you're not only one of the most level-headed admins, you're one of the most outspoken admins, and not afraid to say your mind.
