So it's obvious what a big part the story has in the server and each player's experience. Emphasis on the player's experience in the server. Now sadly these experiences can't be full of the desired satisfaction. The server is public when hosted, so you have all sorts of people joining. And sometimes the outcome can have some tiny adverse effects. There is a slight lack of consistency and this plays a big part in the role-play. The Bluzone-team wants to improve on that. So me and a couple others have discussed a new hosting proposal.
The idea is that we will have two different sessions. There will still be one server - though the server title with differate depending on what the current session being hosted is. There is the private session - open to regular role-players and people to keep up-to-date with the topic. They know the rules, how the server works, the story - they know everything because they keep up with the topic. There will be a password avaliable to these people in the OP. This stops public players that happen to be browsing the server list from joining and possibly causing an issue. Private servers will consist of the main events and storyline, and everybody will be up-to date with things.
Public servers are basically what we host now. There is no password, anybody who stumbles upon the Bluzone can join. Everything with this will be kept the same except the consistency. There won't be any big events or advancements in the story-line. It just allows the public players to experience the in-depth role-play we provide - and if they like it they might come across the Bluzone's official topic and gain a better understanding of the server - then gain access to the private server.
To sum it up, there can be two different hosting sessions. Private - for the regulars and people who frequent the topic, and public - for anyone. There are still some things to discuss and work out - this is just the basic idea.
