No the 3 chapters are all that stuff that lead up to the mad king. You made me go and kill the mad king again just to see if they added a quest after :/

playing witch doctor. love having my dogs + throwing spiders do all the work.

that being said,
Still waiting for Torchlight 2.

If you think torchlight 2 will be able to compete with D3 you dayum crazy

Anyone wanna team up and get some of the co-op achievements? could use help getting the Life Saver achievement, and i'll help thy get it too.

Infinite player coop? Mods? Lan? Pets that weren't removed? A game not watered down for consoles? Steam and not stuffty battle.net? Torchlight has original diablo developers (Max Schaefer, Erich Schaefer)? $20 cost instead of $60?, Torchlight has stat points, skill points

Beat it about a week before the public beta, haha. Gonna reinstall it now if anyone's interested in trying co-op.

Why is B.NET bad?

Infinite player coop: Horrible idea why would I want that
Mods: I DEFINITELY don't want mods I hate mods on these types of games I want the developers to be the ones creating all the content not some whacky stuff that doesn't belong that people will force me to get to play with them.
Lan: So?
pets: The witch doctor is a pet summoning class otherwise why would I want a dog to run and sell my stuff for me borderline pointless
Game watered down for consoles: Don't see what you mean the graphics are currently insane and the game uses the latest technologies like DX11 unless you mean the console version will be watered down which is fine and dandy for me I like it for the PC
Steam over battle.net: battle.net isn't even a program or a resource hog or anything that makesi t comparable to steam. battle.net is simply what they call their login system.
Torchlight has original diablo developers: They're not working for Blizzard any more for a reason.
$20 instead of $60: I have a job aren't you like 20 or something you should to
Torchlight has stat points and skill points: D3 has the most innovative and well designed stat and skill system I have seen yet for this type of game. TL2 I assume will be using the same old put 1 point per level climb down the tree and its stupid. D3 you unlock skill slots at certain levels and you get to choose 1 of 5 skills for each slot and also a rune on it to change how it works. There's literally thousands of ways to set a char up that way and you can make some unique builds. Blizzard dropped the talent systems for a reason they are boring and don't work.

Pros of D3 over Torchlight:
Blizzard probably the best game developing company has made it and has never released a game with anything less than rave reviews
Graphics are better: Some people aren't into that thing but I like it and the animations will probably be better too
D3 will have a 3v3 arena system for competitive PVP: I loved PVPing in D2 and glad they will be having a system in D3
D3 will not be modded: I don't want to join a server where someone modded it so they have as +500 damage purple carrot of ownage and the naked furry mod where all the monsters are giant animals with boners.
Comparing D2 to torchlight 1: D2 still has thousands of players on it every single day and it is like 13 years old, I used to play D2 for like 10 hours a day I couldn't get enough of it it was just so good. Torchlight I played for 1 afternoon after I bought it for $5 it was just not well-thought out it had no challenge at any stage the pets were annoying the skills were humdrum and the theme wasn't as cool(gothic satanic realistic vs fantasy butterflies cell-shaded).

Mods: I DEFINITELY don't want mods I hate mods on these types of games I want the developers to be the ones creating all the content not some whacky stuff that doesn't belong that people will force me to get to play with them.
Then don't play with people using mods.

Then don't play with people using mods.

Or I could play a game superior in every way that doesn't have mods :) That's like if I said "I hate military shooting games" and you said "well buy counter-strike and only play the surf maps"

No, it's like if you said "I don't like surf maps so I won't buy Counter-Strike.".

NOTE: I already pre-ordered D3.

I'm gonna play Diablo 3 for Nostalgia's sake.

awwww yeah, making good progress.
still looking for someone who wants to get the Life Saver/Jar of Souls/The Matriach's Bones achievements.

forget, down for upgrades and bluhgbsfd.g

You can only join modded servers if you have the mods installed yourself, Where did you get that furry mod from?
Also i really wouldn't call diablo 3's graphics "insane".

The point of pets selling your stuff is so that you can stay in your 50 level dungeon without having to leave it and run all the way back to the nearest town, How is that pointless?

And you can't compare D2 having thousands of online players compared to torchlight one because one has online and the other doesn't.

You sound like quite the fanboy.

You're hyping a game that doesn't even have a beta out yet and I'm the fanboy. Also in D3 you can teleport back to town and back to where you teleported from endlessly you don't even need TP scrolls any more. And D3 graphics are quite good you can't even argue against that. I didn't even mention how fun the ragdoll physics are.

Oh ok that's pretty cool. I never bothered with the teleport button.

And i'm not hyping it, I just think it'll be good and i'm not a fan of the diablo series.

Diablo does seem to be changing things for their future console port though.
