I read the article, it's clear that the comments about DayZ at the start were a joke about how more people know about and play DayZ than people do ARMA II itself.

dayz is just a mod, it shouldn't be associated with the official game news. Like seriously, almost all of the news on Steam about Arma is about Dayz.

Well being that DayZ is a mod made by a dev of Arma 2. It is pretty likely that most news will probably be about DayZ considering the massive sales boost it caused. It is just what most people are interested in I guess.
