i believe he was talking of a lot older times where church was basically the law of the land and there was no free religion in some places.

This topic has gone very bad, very fast. This is why I stopped being Atheist; I turned Agonistic. Then I just asked myself; "Whats the harm in believing?" There's no harm that can possibly come from it, so I just chose to come back to Christianity. The only reason I turned Atheist in the first place is because I am a man of science. I don't really care if hes there or not, hes not loving with us and we don't forget with him. Everyone died the end, free ticket into heaven for me.

Holding a belief is harder than you think.
When you haven't seen any proof what so ever you can't hang on very easy but when you have seen things you can hang on.

Your an Atheist so I doubt you realize how hard it is to hang onto faith with how the world is.
