Author Topic: Viewing child research accidentally is no longer illegal in New York  (Read 8380 times)

I have a feeling a massive amount of creeps are going to New York.

creepphilism is a special interest, sort of. child enthusiast =/= child molester. This law would probably keep creeps from kidnapping children, if anything.

You guys should seriously read the article before being stupid. It retains criminal possession of child research, but if you simply view it, which in loose terms is your browser saving it to your image cache, you cannot be charged for viewing it.

So if any website had one of those automatic videos when you get on the site, and it was child research, New York is now saying it will no longer charge people (who by the way are probably already being charged for some sort of love offender charges), because it has no proof you were viewing the video.

Just one of those things on the internet that can make sense, but wouldn't in reality.

Basically that. I don't think you can just have your Internet history filled with 'www.littlelacysurprisepageant .com' and expect to not get arrested.

Some of the things you guys are saying are relatively creepy.

Although it is good since sometimes you just click something by mistake, Like a few days ago with all the guro research i saw (THANKS REDDIT.)

Let's all pack our bags and move to New York.

o yey we cn wach prn

les go wa-

This was already ruled several months ago in Oregon too.

Basically, in states other than New York and Oregon, if some starfish sends you a CP link and you click it, it's in your browser's cache (that's just how the internet works). With it in your browser's cache, it's on your computer, and therefore you can go to jail because some starfish sent you a link.

With the ruling, CP is still illegal, but you won't go to jail just from accidentally seeing it because you clicked on the wrong link.

Yesterday I accidentally googled "16 year old with big tits" and I love this law I dont want to be arrested for accidentally watching the video :/
this would be valid if that was made legal, but it wasn't, so it's not

Soo thats where badspot has been and up to since kompressor announced shaders.

This is bullstuff. OP you're a moron.

This is only because if you accidentally view a CP image and it's in your browser cache you can't be convicted on that evidence alone.

Example here is some moron PMs me a screenshot at gyazo and I click it but it has CP instead. Next thing I know my puter is seized by gov and I'm in trouble for CP. A browser cache should NOT be a reason alone to convict someone.

That's what the ruling means.

loving morons we got here.

/the only reason I would ever go to america

You do know that he said the same thing in the op right?

Wait, so it's only for accidental viewing?

Damn.

I'll go un-pack my bags...
