Author Topic: Gamestop aparently selling steam wallet cards  (Read 2571 times)

i'm not trying to make the argument my mom is stupid, i'm saying there's plenty of people who would want a proxy purchasing system instead of going through their mom or dad. dosh
it would still involve convincing their parents to take them, unless they lived right next to a gamestop. honestly, if i lived next to a game stop i probably wouldn't play pc games.

FINALLYYYY

I am so excited right now. Already calling my dad and telling him to take me up there on friday

Also alot of you people are missing the point.

Not all of us have debit or credit cards. not all of us have parents willing to buy games for us. So yeah. Shut up.

go to your dad and tell him you want him to drive to a videogame store, pay 55 bucks for 50 dollars on something he could do from the comfort of his home. tell him and see what he says.

Sorry, fred. I pay for my own things. And i dont have a debit card.

He is more willing to drive me to gamestop and let me just run in and buy the thing i need than come to my house (He doesnt live with me, ever thought of that?) sit down at my computer, pull out HIS credit/debit card, and spend HIS money to pay for something I want.

I prefer to buy my own things because im not a spoiled brat like you think most of us are.

Also they arent 55 Bucks, smart ass.

you are completely missing the point.
both of my parents will not let me use their credit cards for online purposes.
I work and get my own money.
I can now walk to gamestop and buy steam games for myself and friends.

bottom line fred is counter intuitive

YES this is amazing

He'll say "ok as long as I dont have to spend my money fine lol"

You know like a normal person
or at least my dad xd

Now I finally have something to use these god-awful Gamestop gift cards on

Sorry, fred. I pay for my own things. And i dont have a debit card.
Do you have an online bank account?

Do you have an online bank account?

No. I have a savings account but i dont have access to it. Its the account my mom puts money in for college or something

most large credit cards have a rewards system that promotes the use of the card. going to your dad and giving him cash, while he buys the wallet money is beneficial to you and him. you can download super barbie playhouse, he gets points, and your gas is saved for when the french invade.

most of the time that 1% cash back doesn't mean much

your mom is stupid, my dad knows how to go "CREDIT CARD, DELETE EVERYTHING. ROLL BACK THOSE PURCHASES, THIS CARD IS COMPROMISED!"
You can't just roll up to www.bank.com and go "lol this was counterfeit."  The process isn't instantaneous and the ends don't justify the means of taking the risk.

You're scraping the barrel for reasons as to why Steam cards are useless.  Seriously, we get it.  You have no purpose in buying them, but others do.  Chill the forget out already and quit upchucking reasons for not buying it.

Holy stuff you are just making up all these excuses, rather than admitting you are wrong and just deal with it.

Get off your high horse. Just accept you are wrong. These cards are very useful for us who cannot use digital currency. Those "rewards" systems dont do anything unless you make several thousands of dollars in purchases with the card. its only a small amount of points per card. my mom has used her credit card for over 10 years and the best gift she can get is a crappy music player.

Your hubris is going to bite you in the ass one day.
