Probably not. Although if we did have some DECENT admins, bad topics would go away much faster.
They already go away pretty fast. Also not every topic reported is necessarily bad.
I think Badspot only gives admin/moderator to people he knows and works with.
It has nothing to do with your reputation or how long you've been around, take Bisjac for example.
You have to build up trust slowly with badspot, at very least you have to give him your first born.

Lol, if moderators could ban, Kalphiter would have been banned a long time ago.
Though he's done some odd things in the past, it never seemed that bad.
All I want is a moderator that actually talks to the forums frequently (is trusted by Badspot, obviously), and doesn't hide from everyone. It feels to me like they're all quiet just to seem mysterious, which annoys me.

It's hard to actually answer this question, people are always busy moderating or doing actual human things. Would you really want moderators to be forced to post on the forum?
I still think electing a group of players to moderate individual segments of the forum is the best idea. It works everywhere else, it can work here.
Though finding people who aren't lousy people to begin with is near impossible haha.
In the event that blockland outgrows the current moderation, this would probably work. We would probably have to be a lot more strict with things though.
I think they only thing I don't like is lack of progress updates from them. I mean the v21 thread was nice but I'm wondering how things are going and what they are doing.
