Also, if you think marching is less physically exerting than football or any other kind of sport than involves hard work physically, again you have never been in marching band.
Are you honestly trying to say walking in formations carrying a 1 pound piece of wood requires more physical labor then taking down a 200 pound man or running 50 yards?

Super, which school do you go to? I'm in Yukon's band.
Norman High School

It isnt a sport, your the only one who thinks it is.
Something telling me your parents say you have to play a sport because band isn't enough exercises, so you complain to the forums.
my parents agree with me. so do the cheerleaders, and the football players. because we've made them march once, it was pretty funny.

try 15 pounds. and marching isn't just walking, there is a specific way of doing it that is extremly exausting

1 pound piece of wood
Seriously can't tell if trolling or not.

We also wear thick long sleeve pants and shirts in 100+ degree weather. Not to mention using so much of our air playing our instruments.

if i play rockband while tap-dancing, does that make rocktapping a sport? no, it does not.

marching band is not a sport because it does not meet the criteria to be a sport, it does not have set rules, it does not have a competitive edge, it does not require physical skill or prowess outside of "walk in formation while holding instrument." you forced cheerleaders and football players to march with your stuffty instruments, they probably agreed with you so you wouldn't throw a hissy fit. just because you feel what you're doing should be a sport does not make it a sport. lifting weights is not a sport, running on a treadmill is not a sport, scuba diving is not a sport. these things are not sports, and neither is marching band.

Most of you against it being a sport have probably never marched at all lol.

you don't need to be a chef to know good food.

you don't need to be a chef to know good food.
Since when has this been about culinary experience?

you don't need to be a chef to know good food.
But you do to make it

that means we don't have to march to know it isn't a sport. even if it is physically demanding it still isn't a sport. with your logic everything that makes you tired is a sport, like running up stairs, taking a big stuff, or laughing too much.

But you do to make it

incorrect

Taking stuffs, climbing stairs, and laughing too hard don't have organized competitions and tournaments you loving dense handicap.

so because something is exhausting and requires effort, its a sport?

organized competitions and tournaments

I still dont think its a sport.

What if I don't think football is a sport?
