I think part of that instalock is because he is new and that's what people do.

on a win streak with my pal. just bought Darius with IP, testing him out in a custom game. looks pretty cool so far. love his pull.

But she really picks up mid game.

Irelia's great because of her sustain. This let's you get through the laning phase. She can match other's early game too depending on the champ so she can duel them with clever play.

Her ult is really useful as a wave clearer and it also does a good deal of lifesteal so great to use in lane to get some health back and shove your creep wave into the enemies tower.

EDIT: lol First time using normal's new draft system and I get last pick straight away ^^ Ah well.
