iMacs are overpriced as stuff and you can't upgrade them. if you love mac so much get a dell and buy OSX

>implying she cares about performance.

im sure she'd care about that extra 1000 she loses

Have fun with your overpriced hardware OP

Not everyone is a poorcigarette that always buys the cheapest option. For a person who doesn't play games, Mac OS X is a much better operating system than windows.

I saw this picture where a guy went through the customize page and they wanted like $600 for a 2TB hard drive and like $800 for a 24 inch monitor.

just change the OS from windows to OSX

and we're not poorcigarettes because we don't think that macs are priced right. $1000 for a laptop? seriously?

Making a stable Hackintosh isn't easy.

Some people will pay the extra money for a more stable OS and better build quality. You get what you pay for.

"better build quality"

macs = OK RAM
macs = Mediocre graphics card
macs = somewhat good HDD

you can upgrade a dell to a mega computer.

macs also use cheap foxconn (or whatever its called) motherboards.
also, macs have awful HDD life.

Say what you will, Windows 7 is actually pretty stable.

Oh and I build my computer which is vastly better than an iMac and yet 2/3 of the price.

Mac OS X is much more stable and secure than Windows operating systems.
Windows can be just as secure and stable as Mac OS X provided that the user isn't an ass-licking moron.  OS X is catered to those kinds of people and absolutely idiot-proof their system with lots of things in order to ensure that the customer believes "Macs don't get viruses" or "Macs never break".

Same here.  My computer runs in at roughly the same price in value as the standard $1500 iMac and yet could very well outperform it.

Don't get me wrong.  Macs are some pretty good computers if you want a well-built "buy it and forget problems" computer.  I've considered getting a Macbook Pro if it wasn't for the price and OS X itself because of the quality and the way they're built.  However, Windows will have the dominant market share for a very long time because of its wide usage, both in customer's systems and in corporate servers.

I think the majority of people bashing Apple/Mac in this thread fail to understand that some people really don't give a stuff about the RAM and the motherboard and how upgradeable the system is and just want a solid, reliable, good looking machine that will last a long time.

Yeah blah blah, Windows can do all that blah blah, but most premade Windows computers are budget and don't last, fact. Apple make premium products with a premium price tag, they're not underspecced and they're not a waste of money. If you can't afford them, w.e., don't buy them, but that's not a reason to hate on them.

Oh and Apple is the biggest company in the world, maybe all you doubters should go and tell them how to run the company properly since they're clearly doing it so wrong!

Love a good Mac VS PC debate.

Alert, an Appletard using fallacies to defend his one, true love!

Man your battlestations!
