i never committed the pledge to memory
wasn't ever fond of it either

Also, it violates the establishment clause.

unless you're that kind of butthurt little wannabe athiest kid, you probably realize it's not a big deal fussing over, and nobody is forcing you to say it. just goes to show how christianophobic some people really are when they talk about censoring religion. let's also censor mcdonalds commercials because its "offensive" to vegans, and while we're at it let's censor rap music because its "offensive" to old people. oh gosh i'm laughing so hard over this right now lol

I would change the ending.

"And for science & religonists, black & white, poor & rich, and everything in our great nation: We are as one, mighty, nation, under the hands of our people to shape our contury. Liberty, and justice shall be promised in our lands.

pause...

E Plrubus Uranium. For our contury."

no, anyone who thinks it should is being silly

it was just more anti communism stuff at the time.
russia appeared to be against religion, the US had to add the fact that they were attacking our faith so to add to the necessary reasons we should be funding the war.

christians back at home didnt understand this, they thought we were declaring the US a religious state or something.
idiots lol

I don't see why you guys could say "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation of many, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.", no one is forcing you to say one nation under god. Besides the teacher would be at the desk not caring.

The pledge has been changed many times, don't see why anyone would care. If you don't want to say something then don't say it.
The pledge was changed because of fear of communists and making sure people were still loyal to America.

I don't say the pledge.
forget that stuff change it to something gay I don't care.

when did you turn into a rebel
he's just anti government because he's poor

It should. Separation of church and state, religious freedom etc.

Why the forget would it be changed?
Because one word offends you?
Too bad.
You can say it however you want.
Don't say "Under God" if you don't want to.
Simple as that.
