Author Topic: should i start using metric units instead of imperial  (Read 2896 times)

Yeah metric is almost always better.

Oh I see what's going on here. I doubt it will last furlong. Thou will eventually run out of units.

I think imperial is stupid and I'm an American

yeah, you still can't compare measurement systems to languages
there are two major systems
the one the US uses, and the one the rest of the world uses
but almost every country has its own language (although it may not be commonly spoken anymore)

The US isn't the only country that uses the imperial system. Liberia and Myanmar also use the imperial system, as well as the UK, though the UK uses both the SI and Imperial system.

imperial is really handicapped.

oh god lol, saving that forever

I remember seeing that one a while ago, but I don't remember where.

SI/metrics, because imperial is handicapped. Instead of simply using prefixes with a multiplier of 10, they use several different units with completely different ratios. Converting between them is painfully difficult.

Yes because it's the future

Yes
I'm American and I think the english imperial system is handicapped. That should really say something about how dumb it is
And I'm pretty sure they just invented slugs to mirror the metric system measure of mass.

I remember seeing that one a while ago, but I don't remember where.
The chart is several years old.

If you have to bitch about it you shouldn't use either.

Implying that he said the US was the only one who used it.
