Author Topic: Abortion - Pro-life or Pro-choice  (Read 12539 times)

Abortion is fine, accidents happen and an unwanted pregnancy can ruin multiple lives at once, the choice to abort always has to be available and is morally right.

What do you base that conclusion on exactly?

The average human consumes around 1715 pounds of food a year.

Show me the evidence that the US can produce the necessary 6.045 billion tons of food a year to feed the world.

It cannot. It would have to be a world effort if we were to meet demand.

But consider this, one third of global food production is thrown away and wasted. If we were to utilize more efficient production and cut out wastes (somehow) then we could sustain a much higher population, and thus potential aborted babies.

God is a little punk ass bitch and I'd fart in his face if he existed.

SIG'D SO HARD

what if time already said that the people will change their minds about abortion?
That's the point I was trying to get at.

We can't predict the future, whether it's set in stone or not. And if we do predict it and we change it, then our prediction was incorrect.

Abortion is fine, accidents happen and an unwanted pregnancy can ruin multiple lives at once, the choice to abort always has to be available and is morally right.
A child you are unprepared for is coming!
Choices:
Bring the child into a world where the parents cannot support it, causing a trainwreck of misery to the parents and the child.
Don't bring the child into the world.

I did some research and found that you're citing incorrect information.

The study by the Swedish Institute for Food and Biotechnology found that about 222 million tons of food is wasted every year. That's one third of the first world's food consumption but 4% of the whole world's necessary food needs.

The rest of your post is just speculation based on rudimentary thinking.

Not sure if this is a legit source, but:

"Somewhere between 160 and 295 billion pounds of food is thrown away every single year"
http://www.naturalnews.com/033885_food_waste_America.html

What bothers me is the extremely rough estimation with a range of 135 billion.

Pro-choice. It's not worth completely changing 3 people's lives (usually for the worst) for the sake of 1 person to live and have a bad life.

I got my information from the United Nations who also got it from the Swedish Institute. 1.3 billion tons are wasted annually on a global scale (one third) and 222 million tons in industrialized nations.

Because everyone who's pregnant accidentaly is dirt poor.

That's only 1/3 of global consumption. Plus from what I'm reading the study took the data from first world countries and how much they waste and applied it globally based on population. An estimation like that really doesn't apply considering a frightening population doesn't have enough food to even waste any.

Even if 1.3 billion tons were wasted globally, having that food back wouldn't be enough to feed the world and a percentage of that wouldn't even be able to be shipped to the starving countries.

I do not believe so

Quote
Overall, on a per-capita basis, much more food is wasted in the industrialized world than in developing
countries. We estimate that the per capita food waste by consumers in Europe and North-America is
95-115 kg/year, while this figure in Sub-Saharan Africa and South/Southeast Asia is only 6-11 kg/year.

plus there are several charts in section three of the study that show different waste percentages for different regions of the world. If they took the waste percentage of the US and applied it to the world then indeed it would not be accurate. Where did you find this?

Oh I stand corrected, it does add up to 1.3 million tons.

But what about Sub Saharan africa where per each person about 352 pounds of food is wasted?

According to the graph about 330 of those pounds are lost during their manufacture/production. How are we supposed to make agriculture more efficient in a region where most people don't even have running water?

abortion is good.

anti abortion groups like to cling to the "pro life" stuff, but i rather bring a child into the world when i know it's going to have a good quality of life, rather than being unplanned and unprepared. women should have the choice.

Well technology. I'm not entirely sure but we could perhaps harvest water from oceans and collect moisture from the atmosphere? I have no idea lol I'm not an engineer, but I'm sure there is a way using pipelines and other means of harvesting water.

well every household (or apartment building) on earth should have their own solar generators and them dehumidifiers that collect water.
while being connected to utilities anyways just in case.

leave the main utility use for commercial and industry.
