Definitely. Flat, predictable mobs, limited weapon choice. The mobs that are supposed to be "scary" (enderman, creeper) aren't scary. At all. There are only two weapons. If you saw that thread on minecraft forums, that's pretty much what they need to do, but the thing could do some work.

I've already thought of thousands of ways they could take the survival mode instead of just adding more redstone devices and a boss that really doesn't pose much more of a challenge than a zombie spawner.

Hell I tried to post an actual bug once and people started raging at me saying that the game is perfectly fine and notch wanted that 'bug' to exist since he obviously coded it that way on purpose.

Irony: Next patch it was fixed.

Minecraft is a far more sucessful game with a bigger community and a much better modding community.
The graphics aren't stuff, thats how are are meant to be. Thats the art design. Pixels.
Probably the only perk of playing blockland I can think of is that it can't really be hacked.

In Blockland when you get attacked its no big deal.
On Minecraft you loving panic as you will lose your stuff.
Combat is pretty good for a game like this.
Nothing wrong with the controls. Millions of people use them fine.
You don't need any more mobs than there already is.
Weapons are swords and bows. There a mods if you want more.

You are just acting ignorant. You haven't justified your opinion. Saying that your opinion is better without actually proving any of it isn't justifying it.

So many apologists, I swear. Notch needs to distance himself from stuffty suggestions like lasers and SUPER CREEPERS WOWE and focus on making the game better.

Yes they are both sandbox games, but very different in terms of gameplay. Minecraft is more of a survival and creative whereas in Blockland you can literally do whatever you want.

Ok, ok, not by default, but with enough mods it just becomes a stufftier remake of every other game out there coupled with a completely free to do whatever you want world.

There has been $0 paid for Minecraft's advertising.  Anyone who knows about Minecraft only knows about it purely from word of mouth and it's something Notch likes to mention.

The game has been generally praised (by word of mouth) for it's sandbox design and "never the same way to play" random map generation following the infdev version.
