the topic is about him releasing the mod. the creator made the topic. the creator doesn't want it released. the creator is the one that released it - that's the point.
everything anyone has ever posted about here pales in comparison to a bomb that can kill millions, it's a dumb comparison.
How about one more?
You don't beta test a Nuke. You can beta test an add-on. To do so, you have to have people test it. It's impossible to test something if nobody can have the add-on to test. Sure, you can host it yourself, but how would you know of any unknown problems if you're the only one using it?
Him giving it to someone to use while it's unfinished isn't his fault in the least. I do this as well. Furdle receiving it is the main problem, seeing as the owner didn't realize that it would happen.
Another comparison: People use people in real life all the time. If you feel like you trust someone, it's because you don't see why you shouldn't. You can have girlfriends cheat on you when you couldn't imagine it happening. You can have friends steal from you when it seemed impossible for them to be so mean... He couldn't possibly predict that Wink was going to give it to the one guy who would Black-Mail him.
Hell, what if Wink was convinced that Furdle was a nice character? Sure, it's stupid how easily persuaded he was, but it's not entirely his fault as well, although it wasn't his add-on to give away.
