Placing mines is unfair? I think having elite special ops whale super copter across the ocean soldiers that don't die ever is unfair.

1. You had troops on the beach and you're saying that there were a random 1,500,000 mines that apparently didn't detonate when they took a step onto the beach.

And two

I personally think that's a ridiculous amount of mines to be placed not even within a year.
