I'll try to get the models done soon, school has just started for me and my parents are making me go to sleep earlier, also I get sick around this time of the year but I'll see what I can do.

Also those are some great ideas, I really like the class citrous came up with and I will think about it later on.

I like the shotgun idea counter but the melee needs some more thought think of something a physco would use, think crazy solider in a war or something a guy in a slasher or zombie movie would use as a weapon, and make sure it looks deadly, a baton seems kind of odd even though they hurt like hell IRL.

The browning M2 gets overused so much, c'mon think of stuff that ISN'T in every modern shooter or military, go old style if you want or find a weapon that is from countries other than the US and Russia.

Well, A hook-like weapon seems like a decent choice for a psycho like the berserker. Great for (messily) slitting necks open from behind or impaling them through their back/front. Could also be a makeshift tool for climbing walls and mountains if the blade was a little more curved outward. Best I can think of now is a sickle, especially it being a (common?) farming tool for a Vietnam War-esque setting.

As for an HMG/LMG, I was looking through some articles for prototype/canceled weapons and found this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olin/Winchester_Salvo_Rifle
Just replace the clip with an oversized STANAG magazine or have two small belt-fed ammo boxes, each one on the left and on the right side with a metal bar connecting the two to allow the gunner to exchange/replace both linked boxes at the same time(This is a videogame people, little Suspension of Disbelief never hurts :\)
Worst case scenario: You can use an MG34/42 lookalike, but that would be a little generic :(

Mostly devs will be testing out alpha versions of this until a beta comes out for the public.

Not much thought has been on beta testing at the moment however.



Holy stuff guys actual news!

I finished the Medic, Support, and Berserker models today all in one go, they seem to resemble tommy's depictions of them, now all I need is to learn how to make a suitable revolver (or some sort of magnum) for the Medic and model a lmg for the Support.

With the models done, we can move on and discuss other stuff, and edit some appearances or the classes if you would like.

If you have any suggestions submit them, weapon ideas, gameplay elements, new classes, please I'm open for anything while my uncalled for hiatus is off.

May I suggest a class?

Class name : Officer/Communicator

This class let's you call down air supports and artillery to help your teammates when they are pinned down by heavy enemy fires (or just to get kills or hold incoming enemies.)

By the sound of hearing that it could call down air supports and artillery fires, it might sound like it's overpowered. Well, it's not because this class only uses a pistol, and a knife (maybe a grenade too.) And to balance it out even more, there should be call durations which will last about 40 ~ 60 seconds or you should make it RTB pref so the host can either increase or decrease the call duration.

Basically, this class's inventory will be a pistol (M1911), a knife, and maybe a grenade, and a walky-talky or a SATCOM.
By having a strong advantage on calling for air supports and artillery fires, this class also has a big disadvantage because since it uses only a pistol for a firearm, this class is very vulnerable during the call duration.

After call duration reaches to 0, this class will be able to call for another air support or another artillery attack. Also if the minigame resets, or this class dies or killed, the call duration will reset.

Also to make it fair for the opponent team, each team will be given 1 or 2 Officer/Communicator spaces or you could also make another RTB pref for this.

I don't have any ideas about catchphrases, so I think you should try to make them.

And here is a suggestion on how should they look like.

yes but it's huge, powerful, and old

plus this is a modified handheld version, you should really stay away from weird weapons that never would work anyways
let's not use weird mini-rocket guns and 2-feet microwave rifles

Some other important news is that im thinking of changing some class abilities, such as:

SharpShooter can tag enemy's to show their position to enemy teams or use a device to show enemy movement, basically he turns into the Recon from Battlefeild making him finding key targets if he cant kill them or just any sneaky players.

Commando could use a grenade of some sort or something else.

Firebug could throw a propane tank or something which would emit a firey blast, it would work like the tanks in L4D I suppose.

Demolitions is still a bit rusty for me, maybe he could just switch to secondary or use c4 or landmines.

Berserker is still the team's maniac with a melee weapon and his quick speed but Im not sure if he needs a special ability or not.

Engineer can repair SOME buildings enemies can maybe disable them or take them out quicker than others?

Support and Medic are still the same, but perhaps the Medic can get some certain reward for healing or he can revive dead teamates.

Also anyone sensing Medics are going to piggy back on Support's shoulders alot? lol

Combat knife starts out with 70 damage, charged; 40 damage, uncharged.  Every time you kill someone, it will increase the damage on each by 20.

It would make his melee attacks useful and make players want to use him, perhaps I'll think about that.

Alphadin is trying to get these ingame, he just wants to get the player working, we'll think about weapons later.

ik this is off topic (i think) but why do the enginners always have a shotgun?

Well, the engineer's turrets and HMG fulfill any sort of medium-long range requirements for himself and his team. Thus, he would need a weapon that would allow him to effectively counter anyone that gets too close, like the berserker out of nowhere. This, or balancing issues o3o

No it's pretty much what you said, plus shotguns can have short to mid range which is perfect for staying close but a tad far from the turrets they made. Sub machine guns work well for this too.

You should try to make a radar system like in CoD. And ust to make sure, I'm not a Cod cigarette.

Also, for trapper, you should just make the mines and other friendly buildings appear on the radar too.

If you are planning to make the radar system, then I have another class to suggest... I'll be pending on your answer.
