phlogs are so easy to counter

The reason phlogs are effective in pubs is because you can feed off of the bad players and kill the good players with the crits. Otherwise yes it's a pretty stuff weapon, also W+M1 shouldn't be an issue for anyone. If you're dying to them repeatedly, unfortunately you need to get better because backing up while shooting is a legitimate counter to it. Literally every class besides maybe Medic (because your damage is meh and you need to rely on others) and Sniper at point blank shouldn't have that big of an issue with them. I still die to them but it's the last of my worries when on a pub because even as Spy I can outplay and out damage them with the revolver.

As a scout main, I laugh at every class that isn't heavy.

As a heavy main, I laugh at every class. And shoot.

As a shoe, I support every class.

I imagine if I ever had a dream about TF2 it'd be about neverending hordes of Phlogs and W+M1's

Holy forget last night
Ok so I was on a UberUpgrades server, which if you didn't know, acts as a PVP MvM on ANY MAP, with unrestricted bounds with very high caps on upgrades.

This is what I did:

Phlog with 1200% afterburn, 500% armor piercing, 750% dmg, 300% afterburn time, a lot of rage get by burn damage increase, massive flame per sec decrease, and some protective stuff.

We won like 5 rounds (every team switch) in a row thanks to me, and I topped the scoreboard every time.
